Hey guys
I am on my third day in Malta. Malta is a small country in the Mediterranean Sea and part of the European Union. Its capital city, Valletta, is Europe’s smallest capital. Despite Malta’s size, its location is really important, which is why it has such a rich history—signs of civilization here date back 7,000 years. Valletta, the capital, is also one of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites.
My First Impression
When my flight arrived and we got off the plane, like always, the airport was my first impression of the country. The airport was nice—not great, but nice. It seems they’re trying to expand it. The driver who took me to my Airbnb was really nice, and the roads were perfect—full of trees and old buildings that made the ride enjoyable. The negative thing? Maltese people are a bit crazy when driving! 😂
Valletta
My taxi drove me to the Airbnb, I left my things, and then I started walking around and exploring the city. Valletta is really beautiful, with old buildings and carriages everywhere that take you back to the 1700s–1800s—the era of knights and pirates. At the same time, the roads are really narrow, making it hard for pedestrians to walk. The whole city smells like someone pissed from above, and there are almost no trash bins. When someone wants to throw out garbage, they just leave it in a bag on the street, which must be really unpleasant in the summer.
The carriage drivers are poorly dressed, and some of them are literally sleeping in the carriages. It’s not something that makes you want to take a ride. (If you’ve ever been to Vienna, you’ll understand what I’m talking about.)
Marsaxlokk
A fishing village on the other side of the island—really beautiful, with a great outdoor market full of fresh fish and other goods. The colorful boats and the big harbor add to the charm. One great thing you can do here is take a boat tour around the harbor. There are two forts you can see from the water, and they are magnificent. They really remind you of how powerful the British Empire once was.
Now, I have two more days in Malta. I’ll explore more cities and islands, and then I’ll have my final verdict on whether this is a good destination or not.

The place is a fusion of historical styles. The beach provides serenity. Enjoy your stay 😊
Thanks mate
You're welcome. Have a nice day!
On business trip ? or leisure ? Leaving the garbage in the street is a pretty bad thing , seems regulations are not very tight.
Pleasure trip. I believe they don’t have enough place to have trash bins in the center of Valletta .
A place that offers extraordinary beauty

Enjoy your days at Malta.
We visited Malta for few days 6 years ago.
Thanks. Did you like it?
Yes, we did.
We spent few days in hotel in Bubhiba Bay (I hope I remember well the name...). We visited Valletta and made one day trip to Gozo.
That’s cool, I shared some cliffs of Malta today. I lived there for a while (just over 1 year)… so know the areas you visited well.
Enjoy the last days.
Thanks !!

It's not just a pretty place; it's a haven for the soul, a reminder of life's small wonders and magic in silence.
