Enjoying the Weather at Sacaan Tropical Breeze Resort

The weekend is here! Isn't it the perfect time to travel to the beach?

Inside a tropical paradise like the Philippines, why not? And because this country is a massive archipelago sprinkled with gorgeous coastal habitats, it's simply a question of where to go, right?

Most importantly, the Philippine island of Cebu is an extraordinary destination you’d gladly prioritize in your bucket list!

Cebuanos (locals of Cebu), tourists, and foreigners don't need to travel too far away to reach the seashore. With easy access to public transportation, private vehicles, or merely walking to selected sites, beach-lovers are in for a special treat. Being a beach-lover myself, it has always been a personal habit of mine to check out these wonderful aquatic environments whenever time allows. This unforgettable trip was one of those thrilling escapades…

Nestled along the coastal edge of northeastern Cebu is a coastal gem that wasn't easy to locate. While driving northbound, my daring companions and I were almost lost due to tricky routes, let alone the long and winding roads leading to our destination. But at last with the help of my phone’s GPS, guidance from friendly locals, and a tiny signboard discovered on a street corner, we reached this secluded place.

A sunny welcome to Sacaan Tropical Breeze Resort!

You see, my friend’s recommendation led me to this isolated beach resort. And although online reviews have shed some interesting facts about this tropical gem, an actual ocular inspection could only confirm its hidden beauty. Thus, armed with this itching curiosity, I had to experience this seaside location with my very own senses.

We’ve finally arrived at the entrance area. And because not all beach resorts are created equal, have you noticed something peculiar about the land’s layout? The entire establishment was literally built on top of a narrow plot of land. At first it seemed small, yet later we realized that the constructed spaces actually stretched until the beachfront, giving the impression of a much larger facility. After parking the vehicle, we immediately proceeded to the hotel’s main lobby to check-in and finalize our guestrooms.

Despite having a decent hotel lobby, their hospitable staff’s impeccable service and friendly nature compensated for it. Besides, we went there to unwind, relax, and enjoy the tropical weather for the weekend, yes? So, our main intent was to spend most of our time outdoors, not sleep most of the time indoors - basking in the natural warmth of the sun, the cool breeze, and fantastic waters of the nearby ocean.

However, before we did that, let me show you first the rest of the beach resort, including all the remarkable amenities it offered to visitors and staying guests.

One of the most captivating features of this beach resort hotel was the generous amount of organic elements spread across the facility. Green plants, blooming flowers, lush trees, and shrubs were distributed at strategic spots, providing an unpolluted atmosphere and the chance to reconnect with nature. Now, wouldn’t that be a refreshing experience?

Next was the resort hotel’s gorgeous swimming pool! We definitely couldn’t wait to take a dip in its tantalizing waters, yet we had to explore the other supporting areas before that. Nearby was a concrete slide, an open seating area for group gatherings, and a nice pool bar where various beverages were served. The whole space was fronting the imposing hotel building radiating with its bright yellow stripes.

Care to relax on their lounge chairs and bask under the scorching heat? Go ahead! But please don’t forget to apply your suntan lotion.

Expecting to see a typical shoreline like the ones found in most beaches, our jaws dropped as soon as we arrived at the resort’s seaview. Instead of stepping on a sandy beach, we found ourselves on the edge of a death-defying cliff! The entire resort hotel actually rested on an elevated piece of rocky terrain and the actual seacoast was still several meters below us.

Look! The panoramic views on the far horizon from that vantage point were certainly priceless! From there, resort guests could immerse in the breathtaking vistas that laid before their eyes. We eventually ventured to the natural sea level below via an artificial staircase specially fabricated out of boulders, plastered together with reinforced concrete. At this amazing height, it was indeed an incredibly marvelous feat of engineering! Would you dare step on this platform?

And before the sunset echoed the transition to the evening, we went straight to our hotel rooms to rest for a while. Moreover, we were also fortunate to have the best accommodation situated on the highest floor. And as we walked on its elevated balconies, more fascinating sceneries of the natural and built surroundings absolutely stole our breath away!

The favorable weather remained sunny and breezy for the remaining hours of the day with no signs of rain. And because we couldn't wait to swim at the beach and the swimming pool after the short break, we prepared ourselves to complete our tropical adventures for the weekend at the one and only Sacaan Tropical Breeze Resort.
