Merry Christmas, my Hive fellows!
When I talk about the natural beauty of a place, the Huairou district, where I am living, comes along first. The beautiful view of a great landscape with great scenarios with modern development has made the place an ideal destination for nature lovers, making an exemplary status of the area. Such an incredible place is Yanqihu Park, which is the second top destination just after the Great Wall of China in the district. In my last post about the Yanqihu Scenic Park, I took you through the overall idea of the park, especially about different rides and choosing the best ticket to make the visit budget-friendly with the opportunity of a lot of rides.
But the large natural scenic park has more to offer. Its sole beauty will make you thrilled with the stunning views of the park and the associated portion of the Yanqihu Lake in the park area. The best part of the park is the adjacent mountain by the Yanqihu Lake. You can climb to the top of the mountain and enjoy a breathtaking view of the whole scenic area with the long-distance mountain ranges in the area.
My university (UCAS) campus is very close to Yanqihu Park. The downtown area of Huairou is about 14 to 15 km away from the parking area and has many direct buses as public transport. An easy way to get to the lake is by bus or taxi, and most of Huairou City's international hotels are in this area. So, it really is a popular place for tourists. Whenever I cross over the area, a crowd of tourists is noticeable, especially during the weekends and national holidays throughout the year, as the area has different beauty in different seasons of the year.
It will definitely draw you in with its stunning natural beauty and bright surroundings when the weather is crystal clear which is the best time to explore the area. It looks and feels like a fairy island! The walking way to the mountains is very enjoyable hiking in the park area.
During my visit, winter had begun. The weather was a little cool but not too cold as the day was a sunny day with bright sun in the sky. The leaves on the trees started turning yellow as they were about to fall off, getting ready for winter sleep.
It was thrilling and very enjoyable to climb to the top of a mountain to get a better view of the whole area. And this really is the best thing about going to this lovely park. There is also historical information on the mountain as I came to know that there was a war on the mountains.
To make history alive, the park authority has made some statues and the unity-enhancing views to make the new generation remember their ancestor's sacrifice to make the country a better one.
Several places along the way to the top of the mountains let you see the lake from different points of view, which will make you forget your tiredness. These are the best spots for taking pictures or having photo shoots and breathing in fresh and clean oxygen.
As I climbed up the mountain, the bitter cold got worse. But the view was getting more beautiful, which took my mind off how cold it was and let me enjoy the moment.
