Yeah, it can be very annoying. A quiet long distance train and 2 hours of listening to a person's cell phone chiming everytime they receive a text while the phone is in their hands... I've had that experience too. It's like, do you really need the sound on when its in your hand and your eye balls are already glued to the screen?
