My Visit of Aussie's Postcard Shots

More impressive in person; down under iconic landmarks

A few years ago, I often dreamed of one day visiting the famous landmarks in Sydney, especially the iconic Sydney Opera House which is one of the world’s most famous opera houses meant that I felt like I had to experience it at least once in my lifetime. Now that I have finally made the journey here, and the feeling of happiness and accomplishment is indescribable. This trip was made even more memorable since I was attending the first birthday party of my close friend's son. The first thing I will do is tell you about my experiences in Sydney, the capital of New South Wales ❤️

After arriving in Sydney late at night, I was eager to get to the Opera House first thing the next morning. The beauty of this building was hard to put into words. I found myself lingering in this moment for over an hour just simply sitting down and appreciating the breathtaking scenery around me.:) The pleasant view of the harbour with its many ferries and the huge cruise of the other side add to the charm of this bustling city.

I walked to park on left of the Opera House for this view. I was fortunate enough to arrive here very early (8 am), so there were very few tourists around. There was a large crowd here later on when I decided to take the journey up to the bridge.

I've heard so many times that The Sydney Opera House is one of the most iconic landmarks in Australia, or an architectural masterpiece that stands out among the many attractions of Sydney, and so on. Yes it's truly is and I feel it even more majestic when seeing it with my own eyes. What an impressive feat of architecture !!!

image.png

I didn't have a lot of pictures of myself since I traveled alone

image.png

While the Sydney Opera House is located on the right side of the harbour, the Harbour Bridge is located on its left. Together, they create an amazing sight that took my breath away. Stunningly majestic, the bridge stands tall and is awe-inspiring. I cannot imagine how beautiful it would be standing at the bride watching over the bay or the fireworks at the New Year's celebration. It's huge and long. I was so curious and wanted to get up close to bridge to find a good location for capturing the picturesque view of the bay.

image.png

The location, unique design reputation of the place make it a popular tourist destination for both locals and tourists.

Sydney is such a vibrant city filled with hustle and bustle. I think the Sydney Ferry and Circular Quay Station are the busiest parts of the city. As soon as I walked by this area, I felt the excitement and energy in the air.

image.png

image.png

People flocked here and hurry catching a ferry for harbour sightseeing, taking a tour to one of Sydney's pristine beaches, or even just going for a leisurely ride across the harbour. They were excited and ready to explore this stunning part of Sydney. Besides of attractions and activities here there is a range of shops, restaurants, cafes, bars and more that visitors can enjoy. Such a hustle and bustle life here !!

image.png

I finally reached the bridge after walking for 20-25 minutes from the Opera House. The lift can be found on the left, but I wanted to do some exercises instead, lol.

image.png

Walked up and took the left turn to Pylon lookout that is in the middle of the bridge.

image.png

image.png

Such a breathtaking view of both Sydney’s magnificent waterfront and its famous buildings. Totally worthy ascending up to the bridge ❤️

image.png

image.png

Standing at the Harbour Bridge is an amazing experience. The beauty of the bay, coupled with the magnitude of the bridge and Opera House, I couldn't help but truly appreciated the sheer effort and hard work of of those who built this masterpiece ❤️ They created a magnificent feat of engineering that stands the test of time.

Still curious and I paid 19 AUD to entry into Pylon lookout that is located atop of the Bridge. There is a small museum and cinema offering informative displays and the history of the Bridge.

Learning more about this famous bridge's history has opened my eyes to the incredible effort required to build such a structure and I understood why it has become a symbol of resilience, strength and pride for all Australians. So much to say but never enough ❤️❤️❤️

image.png

image.png

From its graceful arches to its detailed stonework it's hard not to admire the Harbour Bridge and all that it represents. ❤️

It was a bit scary to take that first step but totally worth it when I saw what was waiting for me at the summit of the Pylon.
But when you make it to the top, you'll be rewarded with a stunning view of the city skyline and Sydney Opera House.

The view and experience here left something lasting in my heart. It was an amazing view that I will never forget. The photos I took don't even do justice to how stunningly :) You need to be here :)

My first day in Sydney was beautiful. I explored as much as I could before going to Canley Vale the next day to meet my friend.

I'll share more about the city and transportation in my next post. Thanks for reading and hope you enjoy seeing the Postcard shots of Australia.

I know this feeling, hehehe.
Glad you finally visited where you've been longing to visit.

This Sydney sure harbours many beautiful architectural works... Really amazing.

I would love to visit there someday too

Thanks so much for commenting @sperosamuel15 I'm sure once your in Syd, you will be amazed by all the incredible sights, sounds, and experiences that the city offers. Hope you will visit it soon :)

Hehehe.... Let's hope for the best

Absolutely stunning pictures of one of the world's most recognisable landmarks. That is one place I would love to see for myself and you even did the bridge walk! Obviously healthy and happy and it's suiting you in Aus.

Best wishes and always great to see your name pop up in the feed :-)

I really appreciate your kind words, Nathen. Thanks for your compliment about my photos. They don't give enough to the iconic landscape or justice. Like I said it's more beautiful to see in person :) Hope you will experience yourself soon one day :)

How exciting you got to visit Sydney and see the iconic Sydney Opera House from atop the famous Harbour Bridge! Your photographs tell a wonderful story of how much fun you had @trangbaby🇦🇺 🌁 📸
There is no way I would have walked to the top. After I had children, my mind decided to make me afraid of heights.🙀 Not sure what that is all about -- I used to be fearless!😛

Looking forward to seeing more from your travels!❤

Sydney seems like a great place for a tourist who wants to live his/her Australian dream, ha! Plenty to be seen and definitely a different world from the one we are used to!

I absolutely agree :) Thats why I was so excited first time being here 🤩, and I still feel not enough time spent here. I could return to explore :) Thanks for your kind support, I really appreciated it :)

Your wonderful experience visiting Sydney and its iconic landmarks including Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. It sounds like a memorable trip Precious sharing!

Thanks @huruhupes630, am glad you like it. My trip to Sydney was great, and I'm still feeling like I'm there when I write about it. :)

Wow! You sure wowed me with your view from the top! I know all about making the climbs to the top and must say, although worthy, it is no small feat. Well done!

What an extraordinary city and the Opera house is one of the most recognizable buildings in the world. They have said that for years, but, like you said, to see it is to believe it. I am sure you read about the controversial build, which saddened me a little knowing the architect left Australia with his family, never to see the completion of his project. I hope knew how amazing it was and still is.

You express your words so beautifully, they flow like a love song.

Being able to reach out and touch a place like that is breathtaking and leaves me speechless. There are no words to describe it. It defies all of that.

Thank you for taking us with you!!! I love your postcards! Keep writing them! XO

Your comment inspired me, Sweetie. I'm humble and grateful. I particularly like your words regarding "flow like a love song" ❤ even I don't really sing well 😊. That all our from my heart when it comes to something is really fascinated me :) It's shame that his family and he left the country, I was told that his Son returned many years later and was awe-inspiring his father work :)

I really appreciated your kindness, thank you Sweetie 😘
