Last moments in Rome (I attended the Pope's speech on Sunday) and the journey home

Hello travelers

Look, it's time to leave Rome back home after a few days full of excitement, suspense, stress, crowds, joy, relaxation and peace, we had the opportunity to discover a simply spectacular country (without exaggeration), we leave with a small regret that we didn't get to see other places.

I already have a list of places I want to visit when I come back to Rome, something tells me that I have to come here again.

After I landed at Fiumicino airport, the first contact with Rome was something special, some feelings that I can't describe in words, those feelings that give you the feeling of emptiness in your stomach, maybe because I was here for the first time, here I saw a huge billboard with pictures of places in Rome, I was really standing in front of it with my mouth open, I kept repeating in my mind: "I want to be there too", and a few days after my departure, I saw a similar billboard here at the airport and after seeing the pictures on the billboard I was saying to myself, "Rome, you were amazing".

To my amazement, the airport was quite empty when we arrived, from the airport we took a train to get to the central train station (Termini Station), everything went very well.

I don't want this blog to be only about how I arrived and how I left Rome so I will share with you some photos of two places of great importance for the Christian world.

That's how many people wanted to attend the Pope's speech.

It was a bit stressful sitting so cramped, access inside was only after going through security.

Even if I was a bit disappointed that I didn't manage to buy tickets for the Vatican Museums, I really wanted to see these places but unfortunately I have to buy my tickets at least a week before I arrive in Rome (unfortunately I didn't know this detail).

But I managed one thing, to attend the Pope's Sunday speech at the Vatican (I couldn't even dream of that), I knew that St. Peter's Square in the Vatican will be extremely crowded, especially on Sunday when the Pope goes out the window of the Apostolic Palace and gives a speech from there, in an older post I presented St. Peter's Basilica.

When the Pope stepped out of the window, everyone in St. Peter's Square seemed to be going crazy, of course with joy.

The second place I'm going to present here today is on Via Di Porta Angelica and it's called Chiesa di Sant'Anna dei Palafrenieri, a very beautiful Catholic church.

After I came out of St. Peter's Square with my mind blown to pieces (it was so moving the Pope's speech) I noticed people coming in here, at first I didn't even realize it was a church until I walked a few steps here.

It was strange to me that the entrance was guarded and the security people asked us what we were doing there, honestly at the moment I didn't even know what to answer, after a few seconds we said we were tourists, and they directed us to the entrance of the church.

Inside I took some pictures unfortunately there was a service going on and I didn't want to disturb, but I can say that the church was very beautiful.

Dear friends, we also reached the most touching moment when we had to pack our bags and go to the train station to get to Fiumicino airport, every time I visit such an amazing place it seems that a bond is created between us that can hardly be broken.
