A misty day - Trip to Narva, Estonia

in Pinmapplelast year

The continuation of the previous post of trip to Eastern Estonia. Woke up in Narva before the sunrise and started to walk around in the city. Last night we also looked around the centre of Narva for a bit, it was raining like crazy.

The morning was a bit better, no rain.

2.jpg

People walking their dogs.

3.jpg

skazka - seems like a beauty salon

4.jpg

The Narva Castle. It's right on the border of Narva.

5.jpg

A church that was visible from a lot of parts in town.

6.jpg

Morning walk on the edge of the border. It's surprisingly beautiful nature there and some cool industrial landscapes.

7.jpg

8.jpg

And on every other step you can find another fisherman. This one in Estonia.

9.jpg

Narva Hydroelectric Station, located on Russian land, it produces 125 MW of electricity. Built in 1950-1955.

10.jpg

Abandoned bilding on Estonian side.
11.jpg

A smaller part of Narva river.

12.jpg

Another fisherman, again Estonian side.

13.jpg

And another.

14.jpg

A bridge over Narva river.
15.jpg

And another.

16.jpg

And now the Russian gang fishing on the Russian side of the river.
They seem to have a lot of fun together.

17.jpg

Some houses on the Russian side, they must have a great view from up there.

18.jpg

New kind of fishing style?

19.jpg

The promenade is really nice, and has been renovated quite recently.

20.jpg

Narva castle from other side.

21.jpg

Russian border side again, it was not too busy that day.

22.jpg

They got the Ukrainian flag upside down somehow.

23.jpg

Awesome outside skatepark and pump track.

24.jpg

The buildings of Kreenholm Manufacturing Company. The building is empty and sometimes you can take tours in it. But today it was closed.

25.jpg

26.jpg

27.jpg

It's a really big building.

28.jpg

Now that I look, there's no photos of the Centre of Narva, and it's probably because it doesn't have that much interesting views, it mostly looks a lot like some parts of Tallinn - Lasnamäe mostly.

There will be one more part coming from Eastern Estonia. Thanks for your time.

looks like everyone is busy in fishing or you went early morning as not much people roaming around, it looks quiet and calm place.

Yes it was early weekend, and not much people around except all those fishermen.
