Radhe Radhe Everyone!
Hope y'all are doing great!
Recently I visited our temple called Giri Ganga at Jubbal in Himachal Pradesh, India. The places have an in itself. It is located near khapata at district shimla and it's a holy place. I came to know that in Giriganga. We have a shiva temple which is ancient and attracts pilgrims and tourists from all over the world. I was also curious to know about this temple, not just the temple , the beauty of this place is also mesmerizing.
And in order to reach here you can drive up to Giriganga, or if you have time. You can a walk between the jungle. From khadapatthar now it is 5 km above the hill and Between the deodor forest. As I was time bound so I drove between the forest all the way towards the temple. And I must say the roads between the forest at himachal are beautiful. Not just this road, you can take any road and you will find it beautiful.
Have a look at the beautiful road this road.
Is metalled and it's a single lane road , so you have to drive very carefully. When you drive through the road , you can smell all the wild flowers and plants. This place is Not very crowded and you will spot very few people out there and they visit to take the blessings from lord Shiva. This places is perfect if you want to spend some time between nature all alone.
Crossing Through The Deodar Forest
This is the picture that I have taken from my cars window and just have a look at it. When you drive with such areas , you generally focus outside , then on the road and this is what literally happen with me here.
After driving for 2 km straight I reached at a beautiful spot which is covered from trees all over and the sunlight was playing a beautiful roll here the. Reflection from the trees was amazing. Well , I must say this road is quite different from all the roads that I have taken till now.
And here are some beautiful pictures that I have clicked to show you the beauty of these huge trees add this in incredible place. I have taken all this pictures by myself with my action camera. I must mention the alleviation of this place is around 3150 km from sea-level And this is the main reason why we have these huge beautiful trees here. The place was shady and light was reflecting through the trees and there was tyndall effect going on. I have seen many beautiful places , but this place is literally best among all of them. So calm, so peaceful, you can meditate here and no one will disturb you except the wild animals, hahaha.
Soon after crossing through this dense forest, I reached a place where I spotted a beautiful home at a beautiful location. And I wonder who lives here? Cause I Also wants to live here.
In this picture you can see the red roof of a beautiful a home between the nature. Also, these places were well connected with roads so whoever is living here is literally in heaven. The view from this place was surreal and I was mesmerized by looking at it. You can see the huge mountains on the other sides. And trees all around. The skyline looks beautiful and there is greenery all around.
Giri Ganga
After appreciating the beauty of nature and enjoying it to the fullest, I move towards the temple. And this is what I saw from a distance.
An open ground in the lap of nature with few homes in it and an ancient shiva temple. It looks like that I have reached a place which is surrounded from huge trees all around an in centre there's an a temple which is powerful and protects the whole area.
Display place is surrounded by huge pine trees and deodar trees, making the area more peaceful and secluded. Above from this area there is no village. It's all forests and it's a government land. These huge trees also plays an important role in lowering down the temperature during summers and make this place even more magical for tourist and devotees.
This temple is believed to be sanctuaries over, but the exact date isn't mentioned anywhere. The locals of the area believe that it is made by pandavs during their exile around thousand years ago. This temple also have idols of Mata Parvati and lord Kartikeya. The presence of these deities here at Giri Ganga make this place even more special.
You will see lots of red flag all around the temple and it is believed that whoever offers the flag to the deity they evoke a power which protect them help them to grow. These flags are associated with power love and dedication according to their spiritual significance. The atmosphere is spiritual, calm , peaceful and mystic.
In the picture above, you can see the clear blue sky the huge towering trees and the beautiful temple between the lap of nature. This place not only fulfill your desire to explore but it also satisfies your soul and brings you immense peace. In every way I love this place and if you are travelling to shimla do visit and also , it's best for a short track or a day hike.
That's all for today's blog guys.
