In this post, I wanted to do something different. This trip was so full of incredible moments and landscapes that I thought of dividing it into two parts, also thinking of making the reading lighter and facilitating my writing and revisions.

In the first part, I tell you about the morning in Interlaken, the city and the views from the side and mountains of the Alps. And in the second part, we will continue to the First Cliff Walk and the breathtaking landscapes.

So, Buckle up!

Checkpoints

Long story short: we were in Milan and decided to rent a car for an adventure towards Interlaken, crossing the border between Italy and Switzerland.

As we drove along the curvy roads in the early hours of the morning, we entered a very long tunnel.

After climbing the mountains and descending towards Interlaken, we stop at the highest point of the mountain range before starting the descent to Interlaken.

When we looked up, the sky was filled with billions of stars, each twinkling in different colors. I tried to capture this view with long exposure shots, but the real beauty lay beyond the lens. I felt like I was under a big tree, that was the feeling.

We arrived in the city almost at dawn while researching a little more about the city and what to do and we watched the sunrise. As soon as the first rays of light appeared, we went in search of that espresso doppio to wake up.

Interlaken is a city located at approximately 570 meters above sea level, nestled between two lakes called Lake Thun and Lake Brienz and surrounded by the famous mountains of the Swiss Alps, such as the Jungfrau, the Eiger and the Mönch.

We decided to go to a Natural Reserve and then visit the Golf Club in the region, on this way, we crossed incredible landscapes of a quiet town that seemed to be taken from inside a book. I have some movies to post too.

People flying paragliding, cows grazing along the way and their bells ringing and the architecture of the city and the houses caught my attention on this different morning.

Weissenau Nature Reserve

Our first stop was a trail that ran along the side of one of the lakes, offering views of the mountains in the background. At every step, breathtaking landscapes, with the lake to our left and the mountain range in the background.

Arriving at the Golf Club Strandhotel Neuhaus zum See, we started our brunch, the only problem was that I ordered a coffee and it came with a drip, coffee with milk. ok, i accept, but i need to improve my german. The rest was perfect.

With our energies recharged, we set out to explore the region.

Weissenau Castle

On the way back to the car, we went to visit the ruins of Weissenau Castle and it was really cool to be in a castle and imagine its history.

If you look at the photos, you would see the moon shining, adding a special aura to the moment.

While exploring the ruins and their fascinating history, we were surprised by another attraction in the skies.

Swiss Air Force fighters were tearing across the sky already at an incredible speed that sound took to arrive echoing through the mountains.

These moments, different from the tranquility of the place, reminded me of the crazy world we live in...

After the castle, we took the car to another part of the lake, where some people were posting their bikes and motorhomes, enjoying the relaxed vibe and the incredible view.

A perfect spot to stop for a snack and take pictures of the scenery.

Continuing our trip, we found a crystal clear river that cut our way towards the top of the mountains and we couldn't resist taking some water and refreshing ourselves to give that refreshment.

As we got closer to the mountains, we saw a cable car that would take us to the top. We decided to embark on this and, after a very smooth climb, we reached the summit.

The view from the top was breathtaking. We were high in the mountains, surrounded by snow capped peaks and breathtaking scenery. It was like being on top of the world...

Neste post, quis fazer algo diferente.

Então, Buckle up!

Checkpoints
