Anyone who has had the opportunity to visit the northeast coast of Brazil knows that each place is a unique destination, each with its own natural beauty.

And in the next posts I want to share my second trip to Jericoacoara, the first one I told here , which is a paradise that is no longer so hidden on the coast of Ceará, northeastern Brazil.

Jericoacoara, which we affectionately call "Jeri", is one of those destinations that make you want to come back again and again.

For those who have already visited, you know what I'm talking about and for those who don't, I hope I can portray the incredible vibe of this city.

It's not just about the beach and coconut water, it's about strolling through a peaceful village during the day, which turns into busy nights with lots of restaurant options, music and parties.

And for those who like adventures, there will be no shortage of options either. The attractions are divided between the east and west sides; lagoons and dunes.

We arrived at Fortaleza airport and drove to Jeri, but if you are willing to pay (much) more, it is 30 minutes from Jeri, preferably to Jeri airport, but it is worth it as from Fortaleza to Jeri are 5 hour car journey.

When arriving in Jeri, I always recommend taking a 4x4 car, as to get to the village you will cross dunes and sand roads. Smaller cars can get bogged down, but if you want to risk it, the adventure is safe. There are many who can get there with smaller cars.

But all this path is worth it!

Village

Jeri was once a simple fishing village, and due to its natural beauty, it has become a popular destination among tourists, which has made it a sanctuary for those who love nature and adventures and also for those who want to enjoy moments of tranquility in a charming village.

You can expect a combination of modern hotels and the rustic charm of houses along the sandy streets, where you will find many establishments with a relaxed vibe.

The first time I visited a few years ago, I saw few places that accepted them and this last time, I noticed that it had increased considerably.

I managed to talk to some owners of these establishments and asked why, and in short they told me that due to the large number of tourists from all over the world and because the owners of the places are foreigners, the acceptance of crypto has increased.

I remember that a tourist came into the store and heard us talking and said that he didn't believe in Bitcoin and that he preferred dollars, so I asked which of the two the owner of the place preferred. I don't think I need to say what his favorite choice was, right?!

And this ended up impressing me even more about Jeri's tourist structure, which despite maintaining the charm of a small village, you will also be able to find modern amenities and renowned hotels so you can stay comfortably without losing the authentic touch of local culture.

Food

Cuisine is also a separate chapter, as the restaurants offer an incredible variety of dishes, especially fresh fish and seafood. Always with the wonderful and tasty northeastern seasoning.

But you can also find everything from gourmet restaurants to street food with economical options that leave nothing to be desired in terms of the flavor of typical northeastern food or varieties of snacks. It has something for everyone!

I didn't regret any meal, everything was well done, from the tapioca and omelettes for breakfast, the fresh and light fish for lunch, to the full meals for dinner.

During the day, it's not just sea and salt water that you'll have fun with, the region has lagoons between the dunes where you're guaranteed to cool off in the fresh waters while cooling off in hammocks and water sports.

At night, Jeri is transformed, the bars and restaurants come alive with live music, and forró, a traditional northeastern rhythm, is in charge.

If you don't know how to dance, don't worry, local dancers will teach you the steps so you can have fun dancing too.

It's impossible to resist the invitation to dance under the bright moon and starry sky.

But we also managed to find a sunset party with electronic music that went until late at night, but the after party will always be on the main street with forró and lots of caipirinhas, as it is the last place that closes until the early hours of the morning.

Now that I've told you a little about Jeri and what to expect to find there, in the next posts I'll tell you more about the tours we took and what we experienced in Jeri.

On a trip between old and new friends that remained memorable and still brings stories and laughter to this day.

Between natural beauty, adventurous walks through the dunes and lakes, always with the excellent reception of the locals, we also received personalized mugs for everyone to celebrate together and full of stories to tell.

Jeri is certainly a place that was worth returning to and I already want to go back more often.

Não é somente praia e água de coco, é sobre passear em uma vila tranquila pelo dia, que se transforma em noites agitadas com muitas opções de restaurantes, músicas e festas.

E para quem gosta de aventuras, opções também nao vão faltar. As atrações são divididas entre lado leste e lado oeste; lagoas e dunas.

Chegamos pelo aeroporto de Fortaleza e seguimos de carro até Jeri, mas se você estiver disposto a pagar (bem) mais caro mas fica a 30 min de Jeri, de preferência ao aeroporto de Jeri, mas vale a pena já que de Fortaleza até Jeri sao 5 horas de viagem de carro.

A chegada em Jeri é sempre recomendo ir de carros 4x4, já que pra chegar na vila você irá cruzar dunas e estradas de areia. Carros menores podem atolar, mas se quiser arriscar a aventura será garantia. Tem muitos que conseguem chegar com carros menores.

Mas todo esse caminho compensa muito!

Jeri já foi uma simples vila de pescadores, e devido suas belezas naturais, se tornou um destino disputado entre turistas, o que a tornou um santuário para quem gosta de natureza e aventuras e também para quem quer curtir momentos de tranquilidade em uma vila charmosa.

Você pode esperar uma combinação de hotéis modernos e o charme rústico de casas entre as ruas de areia, onde você vai encontrar muitos estabelecimentos com vibe descontraída.

Na primeira vez que visitei ums anos atrás, vi poucos lugares que aceitavam e dessa última vez, percebi que aumentou consideravelmente.

Consegui conversar com alguns donos desses estabelecimentos e perguntei o motivo, e em resumo me falaram que devido a grande quantidade de turistas do mundo todo e pelos donos dos locais serem estrangeiros, a aceitação de crypto aumentou.

A culinária também é um capítulo à parte, pois os restaurantes oferecem uma variedade incrível de pratos, principalmente de peixes e frutos do mar frescos. Sempre com o maravilhoso e saboroso tempero nordestino.

Mas você também encontra desde restaurantes gourmet até street food com opções econômica mas que nao deixa nada a desejar no sabor da comida típica nordestina ou variedades de lanches. Tem para todos os gostos!

Não me arrependi de nenhuma refeição, tudo bem feito, desde as tapiocas e omeletes do café da manha, os peixes frescos e leves do almoço até as refeições completas do jantar.

Durante o dia, não é só de mar e água salgada que você irá se divertir, a região possui lagoas entre as dunas que garantido se refrescar nas aguas doces enquanto se refresca em redes e esportes aquáticos.

À noite Jeri se transforma, os bares e restaurantes ganham mais vida com música ao vivo, e o forró, ritmo tradicional nordestino, é quem manda.

Se você nao sabe dançar, não se preocupe que os dançarinos locais vão te ensinam os passos para quê você se divirta dançando também.

Impossível resistir ao convite para dançar sob lua brilhante e o céu estrelado.

Mas também conseguimos encontrar uma festa sunset com música eletrônica que foi até tarde da noite, mas o after sempre vai ser na rua principal com forró e muitas caipirinhas, pois é o ultimo local que fecha indo até de madrugada.

Agora que contei um pouco sobre Jeri e o que esperar encontrar por lá, nos próximos posts vou contar mais sobre os passeios que fizemos e o que vivenciamos em Jeri.

Em uma viagem entre velhos e novos amigos que ficou marcado e rende histórias e risadas até hoje.

Entre belezas naturais, passeios com aventura pelas dunas e lagoas sempre com a excelente receptividade dos locais, ainda ganhamos canecas personalizadas para todos comemorarem juntos e cheios de histórias para contar.
