Hello travelers!

I never imagined how much a blog would demand of me when I started. Which was a pastime during the pandemic, where I thought, "Since I invest time in following Hive, why not use it as my first social network?"

Today, in the midst of projects to be delivered and new trips on the horizon, I feel that pressure to finish the posts. But this became something personal, not just for the rewards, but to relive and preserve memories on my favorite blockchain. Sharing my adventures with family and friends, even from a distance, is an invaluable joy.

And of course, feedback from all of you is a constant source of inspiration. Knowing that what I share can impact at least one person makes this all rewarding. With that feeling of "come on, sit down and write," I'm back to tell you the next chapter of my trip to Italy.

LAKE COMO

After Portofino, we headed towards Lake Como, one of the most spectacular places I've ever visited.

The lake, surrounded by mountains and historic streets, was incredible.

It has been the setting for several films, giving a touch of nostalgia, as if I knew the place even though I was there for the first time.

The roads that took us from Portofino to Lake Como were a wonder in themselves. Crossing those picturesque landscapes with our "ship" was a surreal experience.

Tunnels, bridges and new landscapes at every turn - all of this was unprecedented and incredible!

Menaggio

Our first stop in Lake Como was Menaggio, a town we couldn't wait to explore.

Enchanted by the beauty of the place, we encountered our first challenge: finding a place to park.

I won't forget the moment of deciphering the signs and discovering how parking worked.

With a mix of languages and a look at another driver with the same questions, we finally understood the rules.

White belt was free, blue belt was paid. We pay, after all, time doesn't stop.

I always like to take some reference photos of where I stopped the car, in this case in a small town it's easy to remember, but I've forgotten where I had parked the car in bigger cities. lol

A moment to appreciate the architecture, streets, signs and plaques. Now I can understand why in Italy there are such small cars. Narrow streets that often make it difficult for larger cars to pass through.

We begin a walk around the lake, through the squares and special places to enjoy the peaceful landscape of the lake, with mountains around creating a movie setting.

Cars

We saw several cool cars there, but two caught the most attention:

The 2CV6 Charleston is a Lotus, which apparently means there are few copies around the world.

The imposing police car is worth highlighting, another addition to my photo gallery of police cars.

After more walking there, time to catch the ferry that will take us to the next town on the lake.

The ferry crossing was an unforgettable experience, being able to see the landscapes from within from a unique perspective.

Bellagio

Upon arriving in Bellagio, a city that turned out to be very beautiful indeed.

No wonder it is used as a film set and many people dream of living here.

The parks, streets, lake beaches, all very charming and a super pleasant atmosphere for a carefree stroll.

We explored the streets and shops, wondering where we would have dinner and whether it would be dinner or lunch.

Shopping malls, for those who like to shop, this is the city, lots of cool stores and different products. Wine shops and restaurants are also part of the atmosphere.

We walked through winding streets, up and down stairs, finding famous spots to recreate famous photos.

We visited squares, old churches and ate ice cream, stopping by the church to give thanks and continue on our way!

Food

Although our original intention was to head to Varenna and Bellano but it was so nice in Bellagio that we decided to extend our stay.

This gave us the opportunity to see how the city works both during the day and at night, when the streets are emptier.

The streets and squares are emptier, but the restaurants remain lively.

Almost ending our day in Lake Como, we visited some stores to taste and buy local hams, cheeses and wines, with the flavors of the region.

And why not, have another gelato.

At night, sometimes you come across things you haven't seen before... like this tribute to JFK with a phrase that I really like:

When power leads man toward arrogance,

I would certainly come back to see more of all the cities that the Lake Como region has to offer.

next stop?

On the way back to Milan, we saw a sign that caught our attention. It was an indication of a very famous city.

One gave an idea, the other already embraced it. This is really cool when traveling with people who come up with these ideas outside of the itinerary.

Versão Brasileira

Olá viajantes!

Nunca imaginei o quanto um blog exigiria de mim quando comecei. O que era um passatempo durante a pandemia, no qual pensei: "Já que invisto tempo acompanhando o Hive, por que não usá-lo como minha primeira rede social?".

Hoje, no meio de projetos a entregar e novas viagens no horizonte, sinto aquela pressão para finalizar os posts. Mas isso se tornou algo pessoal, não apenas pelas recompensas, mas para reviver e preservar memórias na minha blockchain favorita. Compartilhar minhas aventuras com familiares e amigos, mesmo à distância, é uma alegria inestimável.

E, claro, o feedback de todos vocês é uma fonte de inspiração constante. Saber que o que compartilho pode impactar pelo menos uma pessoa torna tudo isso gratificante. Com esse sentimento de "vamos lá, sente-se e escreva," estou de volta para contar o próximo capítulo da minha viagem pela Itália.

LAKE COMO

Depois de Portofino, partimos em direção ao Lake Como, um dos lugares mais espetaculares que já visitei.

O lago, rodeado por montanhas e ruas históricas, foi incrível.

Já foi cenário para vários filmes, dando um toque de nostalgia, como se eu conhecesse o lugar mesmo estando lá pela primeira vez.

As estradas que nos levaram de Portofino até Lake Como eram uma maravilha por si só. Cruzar aquelas paisagens pitorescas com nossa "nave" foi uma experiência surreal.

Túneis, pontes e paisagens novas a cada curva - tudo isso era inédito e incrível!

Menaggio

Nossa primeira parada em Lake Como foi Menaggio, uma cidade que mal podíamos esperar para explorar.

Encantados com a beleza do local, encontramos nosso primeiro desafio: achar um lugar para estacionar.

Não vou esquecer o momento de decifrar os sinais e descobrir como funcionava o estacionamento.

Com uma mistura de idiomas e um olhar para outro motorista com as mesmas dúvidas, finalmente entendemos as regras.

Faixa branca era gratuita, faixa azul era paga. Pagamos, afinal, o tempo não para.

Sempre gosto de tirar umas fotos de referencia onde parei o carro, nesse caso de cidade pequena é facil decorar, mas já esqueci onde tinha parado o carro em cidades maiores. lol

Um momento para apreciar a arquitetura, ruas, sinais e placas. Agora consigo entender porque na itália tem carros tão pequenos. Ruas estreitas que muitas vezes carros maiores tem dificuldade de passar por elas.

Começamos uma caminhada pelo lago, pelas praças e locais especiais para apreciar a pacífica paisagem do lago, com montanhas ao redor criando um cenário de filme.

Carros

Vimos vários carros legais por lá, mas dois chamaram mais atenção:

O 2CV6 Charleston e uma Lotus, que tudo indica deve existir poucas copias no mundo todo.

Vale o destaque para o imponente carro da polícia, mais um para minha galeria de fotos de carros de polícias.

Depois de mais caminhadas por alí, hora de pegar a balsa que vai nos levar até próxima cidade do lago.

A travessia de ferry foi uma experiência inesquecível podendo olhar as paisagens de dentro do lado em uma perspectiva única.

Bellagio

Ao chegar em Bellagio, uma cidade que se revelou muito linda mesmo.

Não é a toa que é usada como cenário de filmes e várias pessoas sonham em morar por aqui.

Os parques, ruas, praias do lago, tudo muito charmoso e ambiente e atmosfera super agradável para passear despreocupado.

Exploramos as ruas e lojas, imaginando onde jantaríamos e se seria um jantar ou almoço.

Shoppings, para quem gosta de comprar, essa é a cidade, muitas lojas e produtos diversos bem legais. Lojas de vinhos e restaurantes também fazem parte da atmosfera.

Caminhamos por ruas sinuosas, subimos e descemos escadas, encontrando pontos famosos para recriar fotos famosas.

Visitamos praças, igrejas antigas e tomamos sorvetes dando aquela passada na igreja para agradecer e seguir caminho!

Comida

Embora nossa intenção original fosse seguir para Varenna e Bellano mas estava tão legal em Bellagio que decidimos prolongar nossa estadia.

Isso nos deu a oportunidade de ver como a cidade funciona tanto de dia quanto à noite, quando as ruas ficam mais vazias.

As ruas e praças mais vazias, mas os restaurantes continuam animados.

Quase terminando nosso dia em Lake Como, visitamos algumas lojas para degustar e comprar presuntos, queijos e vinhos locais, com os sabores da região.

E porque não, tomar mais um gelato.

De noite, as vezes vc se depara com coisas que vc ainda nao tinha visto... como essa homenagem ao JFK com frase que gosto muito:

Certamente voltaria para conhecer mais todas cidades que a região do Lake Como tem a oferecer.

próxima parada?

No caminho de volta para Milão, vimos uma placa que nos chamou atenção. Era indicação de uma cidade bem famosa.

Um deu idéia, o outro ja abraçou. Isso é muito legal quando viaja com pessoas que topam essas ideias fora do roteiro.
