GrazAndSeek Challenge - Scavenger Hunt!
As you may know, the big Hive Meetup "Hive Creator Days" in Graz, Austria, is currently taking place. Of course, the @worldmappin project is also represented by @masterswatch and @ninaeatshere.
And we never come to any event with empty hands and without bringing a challenge. So, of course, again, we thought of a fun game where you can win great prizes!
To make it even more interesting, you are more than welcome to join the game from home—you don´t necessarily have to be present in Graz to participate.
So, are you ready to chase riddles that leap from cobblestone alleyways straight onto your PeakD feed?
GrazAndSeek is a scavenger hunt, where QR plaques hide in Graz’s shadowy corners and fleeting Snap posts drip digital breadcrumbs to the sharp-eyed.
Solve the Gatekeeper puzzle to open the game, then tear through four escalating riddles. Some engraved in iron downtown, others flashing in Snaps. When you are successful, you end up on the leaderboard.
In total, there will be 5 riddles — the first unlocks the entire challenge.
Scan the QR code at each stage to reveal the next riddle – one by one, they’ll appear in Snaps.
Use the number pad from the Gatekeeper riddle and enter your final code.

The entire Game runs from May 2 – May 20, 2025, starting during the Graz Hive Meetup + some extra time for the online participants.
How to Play (Step by Step)
Solve the Gatekeeper Puzzle 🔐
- The one image in this post is the first puzzle. Decode it → get the Gatekeeper QR Code.
Hunt the next 4 QR Codes 🗺️
- Each scan reveals a new riddle.
- The clues get harder—bring a notebook and maybe a UV flashlight 😉
Crack the Final Code 🔣
- Combine the fragments revealed by each QR.
- Locate the hidden number pad (yes, from the Gatekeeper QR Code).
- Enter the 4-digit code, and on success, you’ll be instantly placed on the leaderboard.

Prizes
Four winners in total will be picked, the two fastest ones from Graz and two random ones from the online participants.
Prizes for each winner will be

Como ya sabrán, el gran Hive Meetup "Hive Creator Days" se está celebrando en Graz, Austria, justo ahora. Por supuesto, el proyecto @worldmappin también está allí, siendo representado por @masterswatch y @ninaeatshere.
Y nunca llegamos a ningún evento con las manos vacías y sin traerles un desafío. Así que, por supuesto, ¡pensamos en un juego divertido con el que puedes ganar gran premios!
Para hacerlo aún más interesante, todos están más que bienvenidos a unirse al juego desde casa, ya que para participar no es necesario estar presente en Graz.
Entonces, ¿estás listo para perseguir acertijos que saltan de callejones de adoquines directamente hacia tu feed de PeakD?
GrazAndSeek es una búsqueda del tesoro en la que las placas QR se esconden en los rincones oscuros de Graz y las fugaces publicaciones de Snap gotean migas de pan digitales para los observadores más atentos.
Resuelve el rompecabezas del Guardián de la Puerta para abrir el juego y, a continuación, supera cuatro acertijos progresivos, algunos grabados en hierro en el centro de la ciudad y otros que parpadean en Snaps. Si lo logras, entrarás en la clasificación.
En total, habrá 5 acertijos - el primero desbloquea todo el desafío.
Escanea el código QR en cada etapa para revelar el siguiente acertijo - uno a uno, aparecerán en Snaps.

Cómo jugar (paso a paso)
Resuelve el Rompecabezas del Guardián de la Puerta 🔐.
- La imagen de este post es el primer rompecabezas. Descifrarlo → obtén el Código QR del Guardián de la Puerta.
Caza los siguientes 4 códigos QR 🗺️
- Cada escaneo revela un nuevo acertijo.
- Las pistas son cada vez más difíciles: trae un cuaderno y quizá una linterna ultravioleta 😉.
Descifra el código final 🔣
- Combina los fragmentos revelados por cada QR.
- Localiza el teclado numérico oculto (sí, del código QR del Guardián de la Puerta).
- Introduce el código de 4 dígitos y, si lo consigues, entrarás instantáneamente en la tabla de clasificación.

In this post a riddle is hidden, this riddle requires you to filter the map using the filter settings on worldmappin.com.
The tag is case sensitive, and if entered correctly it will zoom you into the right location and you will see a special pin on the map.
This riddle is quite difficult, and so is the next one, however the last three are easier.

Yesterday, after logging into the hidden location (where you all are today 🙂), I was getting a field to enter a code, which I didn't know. Today i'm getting the pin stats... I have to turn on Sherlock Holmes brain for riddles🙂

I got the first one, but I don't understand, after I got the key word of the first one, what to do next to get the next qr codes.
So I have got the first one scanned and then kind of answer to the riddle, what next ? Still don't get how they will appear in snaps
There more hints at the bottom of the post. However, yes this post is only for the first riddle, and about every two days there will be another riddle posted, this is to allow everyone to take their time and discover the answers. Hope this makes it more clear.
Which gives the Number pad, and the answer is in the next 4 riddles. You should have told this :) I have been trying for more than 4 hours to find something:)
Oh no, we have probably made it more clear on stage. Hope you solved the first one, the next one is going to be more clear since the Gatekeeper riddle was the most difficult one to solve even for the people in Graz.

well i couldn't even crack the first riddle, and they get harder????? sheesh. Good luck to one and all!
There is a qr hidden in the one image of this post (in fact two, but only one works), scan that, and it opens a site giving you the clue for the first one. But I am not sure ,where the others are going to come.

I have the riddle, and cant for the life of me work it out I think I have some of it but notall
So the first qr code opens a link, that gives the keyword to search in worldmapin site, and opens the number pad, but did you get the other qr codes ? I still could not figure out how to get the other ones.

I'm also stuck at the first code, I checked the post and the map several times, I looked for the digits in the codes, I didn't succeed...😅

The special pin opens the keyboard, but how to get the other 4 qr ? Search in Snaps does not yield anything.
