During my visit to the beach I had the pleasure of knowing and experiencing several things... During the tour one of the things that caught my attention was that in the distance you could see a small chapel among the palm trees and the beauty of the blue sky, so I went to it, to observe in detail the chapel. From far away I thought it was like any church, but arriving to the site I could notice that it was the Chapel of the Virgin of the Valley, the truth was that I had not attended any church, much less had the knowledge that the Virgin of the Valley is the patron saint of the Venezuelan East, protector of sailors and fishermen, considered the mother of the sea, For me it was curious to know this since my middle name is Del Valle and my mother always congratulates me every September 8 which is the day of this Virgin but I was not curious to know its origin until I came to visit her Chapel in the heart of Cayo Sal, and that this feeling of curiosity grew more because when passing by my friend told me that surely the day of this Virgin many must gather there in honor of her.

En mi visita por la playa tuve la dicha de conocer y experimentar varias cosas... Durante el recorrido una de las cosas que llamo mi atención fue que a lo lejos se podía apreciar una pequeña capilla entre las palmeras y la belleza del cielo azul, así que me dirigí hasta ella, para observar detalladamente dicha capilla. Que desde lejos pensé que era como cualquier iglesia, pero llegando al sitio pude notar que era la Capilla de la Virgen Del Valle, la verdad no había asistido a ninguna ni mucho menos tenia el conocimiento de que la Virgen Del Valle es la patrona del Oriente venezolano, protectora de los marineros y pescadores considerada la madre del mar, para mí fue curioso saber ello ya que mi segundo nombre es Del Valle y mi madre siempre me felicita cada 8 de septiembre que es el día de esta Virgen pero no sentí la curiosidad de conocer su origen hasta que llegue a visitar su Capilla en el corazón de Cayo Sal, y que esté sentimiento de curiosidad creció más ya que al pasar mi amiga me comenta que seguramente el día de esta Virgen muchos se deben reunir allí en honor a ella.

The chapel undoubtedly has a very simple structure but full of great meaning, built in the middle of the sea combining completely with the green that the island has in vegetation, as I was approaching I could feel such a special energy as if the place made you invade a great peace. In this Chapel I could feel that it is a place that goes beyond the religious, it is that you feel an incredible connection by the simple fact of being there although I do not deny my first impression to notice this Chapel from afar was only curiosity but it was indescribable the connection that I could feel with me and the nature that surrounds all this Chapel.

La capilla sin duda tiene una estructura muy sencilla pero llena de gran significado, construida en medio del mar combinando completamente con el verde que dicha isla tiene en vegetación, a medida que me iba acercando pude sentir una energía tan especial como si el lugar hiciera que te invadiera una gran paz. En esta Capilla pude sentir que es un lugar que va más allá de lo religioso, es que se siente una conexión increíble por el simple hecho de estar allí aunque no se los niego mi primera impresión al notar está Capilla de lejos solo fue curiosidad pero fue indescriptible la conexión que pude sentir conmigo y la naturaleza que rodea toda esta Capilla.

Upon entering I could not help but be impressed with all the simplicity that is seen throughout the space, the benches are made of wood, some lighted candles and of course the beautiful image of the Virgen Del Valle and is that no doubt the art on this island does not cease to amaze me because right in the chapel is present with an image of the Virgin, but in the same painting reflects the sea and boats (no doubt all the essence of protection of the Virgin), also decorates some poster and small pendants that I guess are creations of the same beach people who live in these places. I really do not have many details of this chapel, there was no guide nearby to tell me the origin and the creators of this beautiful place, although I can believe that each wall was made with an act of faith and gratitude.

Al entrar no pude dejar de impresionarme con toda la sencillez que se aprecia en todo el espacio, los bancos son de madera, algunas velas encendidas y por su puesto la hermosa imagen de la Virgen Del Valle y es que sin duda el arte en esta isla no deja de sorprenderme porque justo en la capilla se hace presente con una imagen de la Virgen, pero que en la misma pintura refleja el mar y barcos ( sin duda toda la esencia de protección de la Virgen), también decora algún afiche y pequeños colgantes que supongo que son creaciones de la misma gente playera que habita en estos sitios. Realmente no tengo muchos detalles de esta capilla no había ningún guía cerca que me indicará el origen y los creadores de este hermoso lugar, aunque si puedo creer que cada pared fue hecho con acto de fe y gratitud.
