Let’s keep putting Hive on the map – literally.
If you want to know more about the project, you can refer to this
proposal for the details. It contains everything from what we have accomplished, both as a community and as a service, to what we want to accomplish in the next phase of the project.
I have been with the project since the Pinmapple days and I'm so happy that @detlev and @lizanomadsoul saved it from getting shelved. I am a curator, but before joining the team, I am a travel content creator who believes in the huge potential of the project. Imagine having a virtual map where you have all your travels pinned. It's one place where I can just click the numbers or pins and immediately access my previous travels.
More than the technicalities, what made me stay was the culture that we are trying to practice in the community. Let me just emphasize that Worldmappin (as a map) is so much bigger than the community. It means you can pin anything on the map as long as it is posted in an appropriate community. Worldmappin as a travel community, however, has a set of rules we are trying to adhere. But I think it's the most forgiving community there is. If you violated our rules, we will give you warnings up to five times, depending on the case.
It's my personal take, but Worldmappin is one of the biggest reasons why I'm still staying in Hive. I'm just grateful to belong in an international community that has always been so supportive.
I hope you'll support this proposal.
