Greetings to all my friends here, am here again with another interesting story for you all.
It's a story about a widow who opened a provision store in our street. She has a little daughter about 8 years old, they sold provision in that our street for about 3 months. The little girl had studied one young man who used to come to their shop all the time to buy his favorite.
Hahaha! Just gues what was his favorite. It has many names which people used to call it. But in our street we call it "life saver"
This young man came to buy his favorite as usual, as he just came closer to the shop, while exchanging pleasantries at a distay with a lady who was his school mate and they have not met for about 4 years, the little girl who was in the shop saw the young man coming closer before he opened his mouth the little girl voiced out and said to him on top of her voice "gari no dey. It has finished"
The young man became speechless looking at that little girl with disdain, yes as he was quite like someone they poured cold water on his body. The young lady on the other hand couldn't hold her self as she burst into laughing.
O boy! It's not a small thing oooh! As the lady was laughing, the young man was ashamed of himself and regretted coming to that shop at that time as he lack what to say. But gathered courage and asked the little girl "did I asked you for garri? He did that to cover up.
He turned to the lady and started saying to her that the little girl is disrespectful and she is fond of doing that all the time. Going further to explain that he did not ask her for anything. He then turned to the little girl again and started using abusive words against her.
As they were talking, comes the mother, She asked what was the problem. The young man narrated the whole story to her the poor widow started beating her daughter as she quarrels her.
After the lady left the young man then turn to the widow as she began to plead with him on behave of her daughter. While the daughter was at the corner of the shop crying. She then asked the young man what he wanted to buy, the Young man then asked her do you have gari? The woman stand there for some seconds with out saying a word as she was surprised to hear that from the young man, seiing that it was what the little girl said She looked at her daughter and the daughter looked at her both of them looked at the young man without a word.
