SHARWARMA DILEMMA

I have been craving Sharwarma since two years ago and anytime I plan to eat it, it might be that I don't have money at that moment, or I just couldn't step out to the eatery or restaurant to get it. I kept hoping that one day, I would eat it and satisfy my cravings.

That doesn't stop there. In different movies, I have watched and would see how people were munching Shawarma with lovely smiles on them while they grab bit by bit into their mouths and I wonder how this tastes.

I would always lick my mouth and click my tongue as if I were eating it and many times, I have dreamt of eating Shawarma

I would always imagine how I was eating Shawarma while alone in the room and would practice how to hold it too when I finally get to eat it.

I saw my younger sister posted on her status where she ate Shawarma happily. I was shy at first to ask her about it but I boldly sent a DM with a question "Titi, how does this taste?"

She was surprised knowing I haven't eaten it before.

I felt bad and ashamed because she expected I should have eaten it. Then, one day, I decided to go to an eatery but when I got there, they said they don't sell Shawarma.

I tried visiting other eatery but some said it isn't available while others said they don't sell too.

I was shocked to see that it isn't popular in my city here and my wish of eating Shawarma would be cancelled and I need to forget about it.

I visited my Elder sister in Lagos last year November when we both decided to go see our maternal grandma since it's been years since we have set our eyes on her. After the visitation, we got home and were famished. There was nothing to prepare in the house and it was already getting late.

My sister said "I think we need to eat something at KFC. Let me go get Sharwarma for both of us"

I was on my phone then, when I heard that and I asked *"What did you say? Sharwa what?"

I was so happy that I jumped up and she was like "What's wrong with you? Haven't you eaten it before?"

I explained in detail how I have been craving Shawarma and how my city is so local not to have such snacks.

She laughed so hard because she couldn't believe my city doesn't have Shawarma or where they sell it.

She went out and a few minutes later, she came in handing me my share with a can of malt.

I joyfully unwrapped the nylon and placed everything on my lap. She taught me how to place it in my hand and the way to eat it incase I meet myself outside to eat.

Don't blame me pls... It's not my fault.

I was new to it and I don't know how to eat it. When I took a few bites, I was already tired of eating it because the taste isn't welcoming again to me. I felt like vomiting.

I got fed up even when I fumbled that I would finish all since I assumed it would be delicious but the first time eating it, it tasted somehow.

My sister warned me to finish it because it was expensive and she wouldn't allow me to throw it away.
I felt sad and bad too because the only thing in my mind was throwing it away.

I begged my sister with a pitiful eye to allow me to throw it away since she wasn't eating mine.

After much begging that night, she allowed me to throw it away and that was how I satisfied my cravings.

But when I got back to school, luckily for me, I followed a friend to a new eatery and I saw Shawarma was available. I decided to try it for the second time and when I got home, I happily finished the whole Shawarma.
