THE MOST INTERESTING BIBLE CHARACTERS (IMO)

The bible is the most important book in all of Christianity, infact it is more than just a book, it is the ultimate guide to Christianity.
That's probably why it's the best selling book in history.

When a lot of people think of the Bible, they think about holiness, the gospel and words that end with "eth" e.g taketh, knoweth, believeth and all that good stuff. So it's not surprise that majority of people struggle to read the Bible and think reading it is a boring activity.
But it's so much more than that.

If you think about it, the Bible is the biggest book of stories out there, and I'm a story freak.
My favorite thing about the Bible are the characters there.
From the Kings to the priests to the warriors to the disciples, there are a lot of fun and wacky characters with interesting stories.

So in the spirit of Sunday, I'll be breaking down some of the Bible characters I think are really interesting.

DAVID

untitled.gif

David is arguably one of the most popular Bible characters out there.
And what he's most known for is the fact that he unalived Goliath with holy catapult.
(Bam! right to the forehead.)

But there are some other interesting things about this fellow.

Goliath was not the only beast he slayed.
He had also killed a lion and a bear when he was a teenager. Although he got some XP boost from the big guy in the sky, but that was still impressive.
What was I doing in my teenage years sef?
oh yeah; watching SpongeBob.

Other interesting things about David includes that fact that he was a king, he very talented musician and apparently he was very good looking. That's probably why he had 8 wives – but I digress.

The most crazy thing David did in my opinion was when he killed a woman's (Bathsheba) husband by sending him to the front of the battle lines so that he could have Bathsheba to himself 😂😂

SOLOMON

Solomon was David's son and the thing he's most known for is that he chose wisdom when God presented him with anything he could ever want.

I know a lot of you would've chosen Bitcoin instead.

Solomon was a very wise king and he did a lot for God.
But apparently doing things for God was not the only way he utilized his wisdom.

Solomon was the ultimate ladies man and no one even comes close.
It's like he looked at his dad David's wives and said "only 8, psh, I can beat that, those are rookie numbers."

Bro had 700 wives and 300 concubines

700 WIVES!!!!

I don't even know 700 people 😭

Bro was the ultimate rizzler.
In fact, he was so good at rizz that he has an entire chapter of the Bible dedicated to his rizz. (Songs of Solomon)

SAMSON

Strongest man in the Bible.
Bro was Superman before Superman.
He killed 1000 men with a jawbone.
That's some Rambo stuff.
Dude probably has the highest body count of a single person in the Bible.

But unfortunately, that's not what he's most known for.
What he's most known for is losing his power because of some philistine booty.

Delilah has been used as a synonym for treacherous women ever since.

At least he made up for it by killing 3000 Philistines before he died.

MOSES

untitled.gif

Imagine traveling through a wilderness for forty years with the most ungrateful and frustrating people.

Well, that was what Moses faced.
But before that, he has such a crazy life and definitely one of the most interesting stories in the Bible.

Dude was born into slavery, almost killed, sent away through the river, adopted by royalty, left royalty, chosen by God, helped terrorize Egypt, saw some of the craziest miracles ever and helped lead 600 thousand people to freedom.

Phew,
that's a lot.

Moses also helped bring to humans one of the most important laws in the Bible – the ten commandments. Although the people he brought it for did not follow it, but still.

ELISHA

Elisha was probably the strictest no nonsense person in the Bible.

40 men were mocking him for being bald.
What happened to them?
Oh nothing much apart from getting ripped to shreds by 2 bears after Elisha cursed them.

Or what cursing his apprentice when that one tried to be greedy.

Dude was one of the greatest prophets in the Bible and he did a lot of good, but crossing him was a terrible idea.

PETER

It's probably not a good thing to be known as the disciple that denied Jesus three times.

But hey, at least he ain't Judas.

Personally, when I want to describe Peter in a word, I use "tout".

Bro was aggressive and impatient. He cut the ear off a soldier that came to arrest Jesus even when Jesus gave himself freely.

Yup, bro definitely had anger issues.
But, he was also the only person apart from Jesus to walk on water (even though it was just for 5 seconds.)

Peter was one of the closest disciple of Jesus Christ, even though he was a bit forward at times.

JONAH

untitled.gif
last thing Jonah saw before being swallowed

Looking at it from the outside, Jonah has one of the funniest stories in the Bible.
How can God send you message and you refuse. You not only refused, you tried to run away and then ended up getting swallowed by a big fish for 3 days.

Imagine going home to his wife and telling her that.

WIFE: Jonah! where have you been?!

JONAH: Honey, you're not going to believe this, but I was swallowed by a big fish.

WIFE: ...

JONAH: It was massive!

WIFE:... I want a divorce.

JACOB

This dude stole his brother's birthright by using soup, fought an angel, worked for 7 years because he wanted to marry someone, worked for 7 extra years because he was tricked but he refused to give up, and did I mention he fought a freaking Angel!!!

Nah, Jacob was the definition of thug life.

CONCLUSION

Well, those are my picks for some interesting characters in the Bible.

Now obviously there are many more interesting characters but if you wanna see them, go read the Bible and enjoy.

Who's your favorite Bible character?
Lemme know below.

Happy Sunday to you all, God bless and I hope you have a terrific week.

Thank you for reading.

Stay buzzing,

That's fish gif really got me😂😂😂
It's the fact that Jonah came out alive ... hehehe... His wife should have really gotten a divorce 😂

😂😂😂😂
God probably convinced her bro was saying the truth

It really takes God's intervention 😂

You nailed this!👏👏👏

Jonah was really something else, he heard from God directly and still refused to go on the errand. Coconut head🤣.

Although what he displayed is what's happening in our current world... especially with those called into ministry but refused to fall in, thinking it's a missed call from God 🥱

😂😂👌🏾

Jonah story cracks me up always when people make jokes out of it. It is completely unexplainable and he will definitely sound crazy when explaining that he was swallowed by a fish.

You made fun out of the bible characters, great job.

Thanks 🥺
And thank you so much for reading 💙

These characters would have made a good marvel movie too lol

😂😂😂😂
Someone cast Chris Hemsworth as Samson stat!

I was always a fan of Noah. Dude was such a drunk he blessed the wrong son, but he still managed to save all life on earth with a giant boat.

😂😂😂
Noah was a simple dude
Chill

Bro just built the boat and enjoyed life
But sometimes I wonder
Did he really have to bring along rats😖

JUST built the boat? He had to care for all those animals (and a few people!) for over a month! How long do you think it was before he ran out of wine, and started to detox? He may have been simple, but he was still a warrior! 😂😂😂

(If that response seemed less than chill, don't read too much into it... it's just an automatic response to being told to chill.)

:D

Solomon would have wifey-ed me with his rizz.. Like that guy was good please😂😂

Jonahhhhh😂😂😂

😂😂😂😂👌🏾
Yoruba men dey learn where Solomon dey

Jonahhhhh😂😂😂

My guyyy😂😂😂
