Свято "Івана Купала" у Празі.

Hello everybody! Yesterday was the "Ivan Kupala" holiday. This is one of the most interesting holidays left to us by our ancestors.

Previously, the holiday was pagan, but when the Gregorian calendar was introduced and the holiday shifted by more than two weeks, it coincided with the Christian Christmas of John the Baptist and acquired a new meaning and became the celebration of the Christmas of John the Baptist.
Kupaila became the patron of love, marriage, procreation, the god of the summer sun.

Всім привіт! Вчора було свято "Івана Купала". Це одне з найцікавіших свят, яке залишили нам пращури.

Раніше свято було язичницьке, але коли запровадили григоріанський календарь і святковий день змістився на понад два тижні, він збігся з християнським Різдвом Іоанна Хрестителя й набув нового сенсу і стало відзначенням Різдва Івана Хрестителя.
Купайла — став покровителем кохання, шлюбу, продовження роду, богом літнього сонця.

At the beginning of the 20th century, the Kupala ritual gradually began to disappear. During Soviet times, when the anti-religious struggle was waged, many religious holidays lost their meaning. But today we celebrate our national holidays. And although the magical content of the rituals has been leveled, and the celebration has gained artistic significance, still the main pagan ritual actions have come down to us - this is the weaving of wreaths by girls and letting them into the water; honoring the Kupala tree with round dances; lighting a fire and jumping over fire; burning
Marena's stuffed animal (in Slavs, this is a winter deity that plagues the earth with cold, and people with diseases and hunger.)

All rituals are based on the cult of fire, water and vegetation. This combination of male (fire) and female (water) principles was performed to ensure fertility, health, and procreation.

На початку ХХ століття купальський обряд поступово почав зникати. За радянські часи, коли велась антирелигійна боротьба, багато религійних свят втратили своє значення. Але сьогодні ми відролжуємо наші народні свята. І хоча магічний зміст ритуалів знівельований, а святкування набрало мистецького значення, все ж головні язичницькі ритуальні дійства до нас дійшли – це плетення вінків дівчатами і пускання їх на воду; вшанування купальського деревця хороводами; розпалювання багаття та стрибання через вогонь;спалювання
опудала Марени(у слов' ян, це зимове божество, що морить землю холодом, а людину — хворобами та голодом.)

В основі всіх обрядів лежить культ вогню, води та рослинності. Це поєднання чоловічого (вогню) та жіночого (вода) начал, виконувалися з метою забезпечення врожайності, здоров’я, продовження роду.

In Prague, on the occasion of Ivan Kupala, a holiday was held for Ukrainian children.
It was a very interesting program. At the beginning of the holiday, a small concert was held, prepared by Ukrainian children. They performed Ukrainian songs and read poems. The youngest performer was 5 years old.

Then everyone sang "Chervona Ruta" together. There were various competitions. First, a drawing competition. All the children who took part in it were given gifts. And the best drawing (according to the jury's decision) was sold at auction. Then there was a "Motanka dolls" competition. The children made them with their own hands.
All those who wished wove wreaths from wild flowers and various herbs. And then the audience voted for the winner for the best crown.

У Празі, з нагоди "Івана Купала" влаштували свято для українських дітей.
Була дуже цікава программа. На початку свята відбувся маленький концерт, який підготували українські дітки. Виконували українські пісні ,читали вірші. Наймолодшій виконавиці було 5 рочків.

Потім всі разом заспівали "Червону руту". Були різні конкурси. Спочатку конкурс малюнків. Всім діткам, хто приймав в ньому участь вручили подарунки. А найкращий малюнок (за рішенням жюрі) був продан з аукціону. Потім був конкурс "ляльки мотанки". Діти робили їх власноруч.
Всі бажаючі сплели віночки з польових квітів та різних трав. А потім голосуванням глядачів було визначено переможця за найкращий віночок.

Everyone was treated to Ukrainian dishes. There was delicious Ukrainian borscht, lard with garlic, pies with cabbage, and various goodies: cakes, cookies, candies.
And of course, what kind of Ivan Kupala holiday is it without a bonfire. They lit a big fire and danced around it. And then everyone jumped over the fire. The children were delighted. They liked this moment the most. They jumped so much that their legs hurt in the morning

Всіх пригощали українськими стравами. Був смачний український борщ, сало з часником, пиріжки з капустою, та різні смаколики: тістечка, печиво, цукерки.
Ну і звичайно, яке ж свято Івана Купала, без вогнища. Розпалити велике багаття і водили біля нього хороводи. А потім всі бажаючі стрибали через вогнище. Діти були у захваті. Цей момент їм сподобався найдужче. Вони так настрибалися, що на ранок боліли ноги.

All children present at the holiday were given gifts that Czech children had collected for Ukrainian friends. It was very touching. Many thanks to them for this.
Then they let their woven crowns into the water and made a wish. And finally, when it got dark, there was a Fire show.
The holiday was very nice. The children were delighted, they liked everything very much.

When we win, we will invite to Ukraine Czech children and children from other countries who are helping us, and we will organize a big holiday as a sign of gratitude for their hospitality.

Всім присутнім на святі діткам вручили подарунки, які зібрали чеські дітки для українських друзів. Це було дуже зворушливо. Велика подяка їм за це.
Потім пускали на воду сплетені свої віночки та загадували бажання. І на останок, коли вже стемніло, було Фаєр - шоу.

Свято було дуже гарне . Діти були у захваті, все дуже сподобалось.
Велика подяка організаторам свята.
Коли ми переможемо, ми запросимо до себе в Україну чеських діток, і діток з інших країн, які нам допомогають, і влаштуємо велике свято на знак подяки за їх гостинність.
