It has been quiet in Kyiv for several days. Such a desirable and such a dangerous quiet - you get used to it too quickly.
В Києві вже декілька днів затишшя. Таке бажане та таке небезпечне - надто швидко до цього звикаєш.
I spent the last few days in bed due to illness. Working without days off and stress are probably taking their toll. However, I have nothing to complain about, I even rested a little. Including from the unfortunate news about new shellings. Of course, sooner or later the hands reach the news feed and I have to dive back into this tragic reality again.
Останні декілька днів я провела в ліжку через нездужання. Робота без вихідних та стрес, мабуть, даються взнаки. Втім не маю на що жалітися, навіть трохи відпочила. В тому числі від прикрих новин про нові обстріли. Звісно, рано чи пізно руки доходять до стрічки новин та доводиться знову поринати в цю трагічну реальність.

Yesterday, the news caught me anyway: Ingulets district of Kryvyi Rih, my hometown, was targeted. Despite the fact that Kryvyi Rih has been relatively close to the front line since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, it was itself shelled that often. It was mainly the villages of the Krivyi Rih district from the south which suffered from MLRSs strikes from the Kherson region. Yesterday, 10 Tornado-S missiles were fired at Kryvyi Rih, as a result of which a residential building was destroyed and 2 women were killed. One of them is a 20-year-old girl, an aerial acrobatics trainer. A young beautiful girl who could build a career, realize her dreams, see the world. All this will not happen. How many more young girls and boys, children, women, elderly people and other Ukrainians must die in order for this evil to stop? Sometimes this question gets me stuck.
Вчора новини застали мене самі - був обстріяний Інгулецький район Кривого Рогу, мого рідного міста. Незважаючи на те, що Кривий Ріг з початку повномасштабного вторгнення знаходиться відносно недалеко від лінії фронту, "долітало" туди не часто. В основному діставалося селам Кріворізького району з півдня, які обстрілювалися РСЗВ зі сторони Херсонщини. Вчора по Кривому Рогу було випущено 10 ракет Торнадо-С, внаслідок чого був зруйнований житловий будинок та загинули 2 жінки. Одна з них - 20-річна дівчина, тренер з повітряної акробатики. Молода красуня, яка могла б збудувати кар'єру, здіснити свої мрії, побачити світ. Всього цього вже не станеться. Скільки ще молодих дівчат та хлопців, дітей, жінок, літніх людей та інших українців мають загинути, щоб це зло зупинилося? Іноді це питання мене вводить в ступор.

It is very difficult to drive away negative thoughts, especially when my own physical condition is unsatisfactory, but I still try to maintain a certain level of my own "combat capacity" and functionality. For example, I am happy when I hear about new supplies of weapons: about additional HIMARS, which have already proven themselves well on the battlefield; that Germany has solved its problems with ammunition for the Gepard anti-aircraft guns and may be able to send them as soon as this month; that the Poles have already collected 8 million zlotys for Bayraktar for Ukraine. All these news give hope that sooner or later we will surely win. It is only necessary to remember that every contribution is important, and we should also believe in our defenders and keep helping them!
Дуже важко відганяти від себе негативні думки, особливо коли власний фізичний стан незадовільний, але все ж намагаюся підтримувати певний рівень власної "боєздатності" та функціональності. Наприклад, радію, коли чую про нові постачання зброї: про додаткові HIMARS, які вже прекрасно зарекомендвали себе на полі бою; про те, що Німеччина вирішила свої проблеми з боєприпасами для зеніток Gepard і, можливо, зможе надіслати їх вже цього місяця; про те, що поляки зібрали вже 8 мільйонів злотих на Байрактари для України. Всі ці новини дають надію на те, що рано чи пізно ми обов'язково переможемо. Варто лише пам'ятати про те, що кожен внесок важливий, і ми теж маємо вірити в наших захисників та допомагати їм!
