And this is just when the electricity was turned on, and an hour later it was turned off, until the middle of the night. Until then, by the way, there was no water. But nothing, I saw even without light that russia is a country of filth and a terrorist who just wants people to sit without electricity, heat and water.

For 8 years in my country, volunteers have been one of those titans on which we all rely. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, almost every Ukrainian has become a volunteer, because everyone understands that together we are a force and we need to help each other in such a difficult time.

А тепер розповім про вчорашнє свято - день волонтера. Це міжнародне свято, котре заснували ще 1985 року. Вже 8 років в моїй країні волонтери являються одними із тих титанів на яких тримаємось всі ми. З початку повномасштабного вторгнення практично кожен українець став волонтером, бо всі розуміють що разом ми сила і потрібно виручати одне одного в такий важкий час.

I was and am also partially involved in this, both in a simple financial plan, and I help with various things. From clothes to equipment that will be more important and needed by someone else. However, no matter how much I do, I still have the same feeling that I am not doing enough. I think this is the case with many. And today I want to tell a few stories and introduce you to one of the millions of volunteers who help the Armed Forces of Ukraine, ordinary citizens, and animals. Prepare handkerchiefs, it will be quite wet here. I warned.

Я також частково була та є до цього причетною, як в простому фінансовому плані, так і допомагаю різними речами. Від одягу до техніки, котра буде важливішою та потрібнішою комусь іншому. Проте, скільки б я не робила все одного відчуття, що роблю замало. Гадаю це так у багатьох. А сьогодні хочу розповісти декілька історій та познайомити вас із одними з мільйонів волонтерів, котрі допомагають Збройним Силам України, звичайним жителям, а також тваринам. This is Volodymyr Dyachuk, a field kitchen volunteer in Kyiv, who, together with his mother, went to help prepare food for the military and civilian residents of the city. He is only 9 years old, but he was responsible for his work and was not lazy. His duties included making sandwiches, of which he could make 300 in a day, as well as mixing salads and other small jobs that he could master at such a young age.

Це Володимир Дячук, волонтер польової кухні в Києві, котрий разом із своєю мамою пішов допомагати та готувати їжу для військових та цивільних жителів міста. Йому всього 9 років, але він відповідально відносився до своєї роботи та не лінувався. В його обов'язки входило приготування бутербродів, яких за день він міг зробити 300 штук, а також займався перемішуванням салатів та іншою дрібною роботою, котру міг осилити в такому юному віці.

She is only 11 years old, and she has already become the world champion in checkers. A few years ago, she did not know any rules of this game, but she reached incredible heights. She has more than 40 medals, more than a hundred diplomas, and trophies from the Kyiv, European and even world championships! But all this was interrupted by russia, and on February 24, the girl put the checker's board in the closet and went with her parents to the west of Ukraine for several months.

А це Валерія Єжова, про неї напевно тільки лінивий не знає, адже відео де... Про це трішки пізніше, розповім більше про дівчину. Їй всього 11 років, а вона вже стала чемпіонкою світу по шашкам. Ще декілька років тому не знала жодних правил в цій грі, але досягла неймовірних висот. У неї понад 40 медалей, більше ніж сто дипломів, трофеї з чемпіонства Києва, Європи та, навіть, світу! Але все це обірвала росія і 24 лютого дівчина відклала дошку для шашок в шафу та поїхала з батьками на декілька місяців на захід України.

Повернувшись до столиці у Валерії було бажання якось допомогти військовим і тому почала грати просто на вулиці із перехожими за "донат" на ЗСУ. А відео, котре кожного доводить до сліз те, де вона передає в фонд Притули гроші, котрі вдалось зібрати. Загалом за цей період вона зібрала вже близько 140 тисяч гривень.

In general, today many people are engaged in the manufacture of such candles for the needs of the military, it is worth just typing "trench candles" in the search for "trench candles" and there are hundreds of stories there. Вінничанки 93-річна Олена Владимирець із донькою Ніною, 65 років, виготовляють окопні свічки для захисників України. Щодня заливають понад 60 штук. Починали вони із того, що плели маскувальні сітки, а потім вирішили виготовляти такі свічки, тому що на вулиці стає все холодніше, а подібні вироби дуже добре зігрівають бліндаж, а також можуть горіти близько 12 годин. Взагалі сьогодні дуже багато людей займаються виготовленням подібних свічок для потреб військових, варто просто в твітері написати в пошуку "окопні свічки" і історій там сотні. І це тільки те, що я встигла побачити за грудень.
