So, we may celebrate this nice rounded date today, tho it wasnt an easy year.

not a big news

As of December, the power of FL account has grown again: a wonderful photographer and nature lover from Indonesia, @keuudeip has delegated to the community. I cannot express in words how pleased I am that this is happening, this is a sign of recognition, and I believe its a correct pattern that benefit to the blockchain and all of us. Hope more Hiveans will follow this way in the future.

Also a pleasure to note that new active fungi lovers arrive. Up to date we are 415 subscribers, 70 active posters, 390+ weekly interactions. Community account reached the total power of 1910 HP (thanks to @ocd-witness, @qwerrie, @portal-xenna, @bambuka and @keuudeip for the delegation). As you know from previous posts, FL is a part of @OCD community incubation program -- check the link for full details. In brief, it means @OCD encourages hiveans to post to dedicated communities by giving back nice upvotes for great posts.

We just kindly ask: go for quality, not for quantity. No need to spam over the place with low quality posts, that will get you no readers; its pointless and waste of your lifetime.

@faltermann from Bavaria brought in a marvelous shot of tree fungus, but the 'behind the scene' story is even more pleasurable. Dont miss it, educate yourself how to make great creative captures of mushrooms, and generally speaking, in the genre of macro.

Indonesia has the season of rains started in November, so in the southern hemisphere mushrooms are on their peak, and we received a marvelous activity and contribution from our subscribers: @sumon74, @moesa, @sultan-indo, @ridor5301, @keuudeip, @tinta-tertuang, @akukamaruzzaman. All of the posts in one way or another had a beautiful fungi alienation essence to it. A stunning biodivercity!

🍄 red tree fungi 🍄 white and fluffy? 🍄 made of jelly 🍄 hairy mushrooms 🍄 translucent umbrellas 🍄 wooden and edible 🍄

fuligo septica ʘ @nicanor-mosquera from Spain found extremely bizarre mold mushroom. And in other post, he presented a Lactarius Deterrimus find.

@bambuka sang a song of praise to Amanita muscaria, the most well-dressed and known and welcomed mushroom in the world. The king of mushrooms, as he put it. If you have any questions, do ask him, or check his posts. When it comes to the Amanitas, he is an expert. And, note it, his posts are still coming on everyday basis -- i.e. he does know what he is talking about ;)

His other post is just some nice photo tropheys of good edible mushrooms: Ceps (Porcini) and Leccinus.

5 @qwerrie, Russian amateur photographer shared a little selection of mushroom macros from north-west Europe.

frae1.jpg @fraenk shared beautiful pictures of a nice Friday fungi find, with a beautiful name of Calocera Viscosa. Check the post to educate yourself in details, why it is not a coral mushroom Ramaria aurea (coral mushrooms are more brittle and won't bend like the yellow stagshorn, and Calocera viscosa does).

svi.jpg @oks2crypto suggested to look at an ordinary and well-spread _ Paxillus involutus_ fungi. Well, it can be quite spectacular!

@keuudeip from Indonesia took the pics what he identified as Psilocybe cubensis,, i.e. psychedelic mushrooms. Perhaps I will not gonna ask how strong the effect of these mushrooms was, it seems to me @keuudeip is not one of those who pick mushrooms just ti throw them away after examination, I think they stayed safely at their place.

Ok, that was the last post to review for today. The amount of stuff you mates shared in the community is beyond my capabilities to make and review the best picks! I will not point my finger and name the names of the persons who are to blame for this state of things. Actually, it is not that bad at all!

And now, as usual, a little reminder about a nice fun challenge at our blockchain, hold by @EwkaW:

#FungiFriday!

I hope many of you will join, as there are only 2 simple rules:

  • when Friday comes, share your fungi with us! post your own, original photo/drawing/art/food/anything-at-all of any type of fungi (yes, stolen images will be checked and reported !)
  • add #fungifriday (not necessarily must be your 1st tag). that's all!

Great initiative. I will read the instructions well to try to participate.

I spent half my life in Italy, a country where mushrooms are a passion.

There are people who are true experts at picking them up and avoiding those that are poisonous.

And there are endless recipes. Can I share some? And some photos of mushrooms?

I have beautiful photos of porcine mushrooms.

Thank you.

I spent half my life in Italy, a country where mushrooms are a passion.

oh! I surely heard about the Italian truffles, but didnt know the mushrooms were appreciated on the Passion level there. would be nice to see your contributions, @belen0949. Myself, prefer to shoot and watch the weirder alien stuff (not necessarily edible), but always appreciate good photos. See you around!

And there are endless recipes. Can I share some? And some photos of mushrooms?

did you ask about Porcini fotos, or receips? any way, both questions are silly - YES, do share please! we dont have too much people sharing recipes here. there is also a @foody community here on Hive, but you surely can divercify your stuff (I actually advise you doing so), that you can share and direct your experience in more ways - then, more Hiveand will see it, and more chances curators will curate your content.

ps. are you in the know of #OCD community incubation program? (there is a link in the beginning of this post), I recommend you to educate yourself about the communities worth posting your stuff to. FL is a good place for it, as well. warmly welcome!

There were great contributions and findings. Thanks for including my post. I'm glad the community continues to grow.
