I've been on the hunt in East Anglia and I've discovered some lovely, captivating, curious specimens. None quite as weird as these parasitic fungi leeching off other fungi.

Many examples of this arrangement were growing in this forest of chestnuts and oak. All of them I found had 3 parasitic fruiting bodies and one common earth ball.
It's a wild and tragically beautiful kingdom.
I hope we find beauty in complicated relationships (but manage to avoid this kind of relationship... Eaten alive is never a good look).
