Winter mushrooms and the first walk in nature this year

in Fungi Lovers2 years ago

A wonderful winter day and another walk along the paths of our favorite Deliblato sands. Winter is not a favorite season for mushrooms, but the amazing and authentic "Europian Sahara" is always full of surprises - unique and endemic species. This time there were no surprises, I knew where I was going and what I was looking for :) And I found that - Flammulina velutipes. But I also came across some more, so here is my winter fungi gallery.:)

They usually grow in a bouquet. They tolerate low winter temperatures but don't like snow. They are very charming and photogenic. 😊 In our region, they can be confused with Galerina Marginata, which is very poisonous. I'm not even an amateur at identifying mushroom species, but this is fun for me, to try to identify the species, so I don't dare to pick them and use them in my diet.

But despite my modest knowledge, I don't think that these mushrooms are Galerina Marginata.

I really liked this mushroom that dried on the moss and the contrast of dark brown-orange and bright green.

These shiny brown mushrooms on a bare acacia tree remind me of gummy candies :)

Nature walks are the most wonderful way to spend time with your family, regardless of the time of year, and we spend the first of January in Deliblato Sands. These photos are just a detail from our first walk this year. Happy Fungi Friday everyone! I hope you enjoyed my photos :)

Much love,
Snežana
