RE: Let sleeping dogs lie

in Self Improvement3 years ago

The brain has a hard time telling the difference between fact and fiction at times

Ya think? See the current President of the United States for conformation.

I wonder about Sam's mentality and just how much of it I project onto him. The truth is he's a dog and doesn't have thoughts like I have thoughts. That he loves me is without question (and that goes both ways) but what does he know?

He had a serious ear infection a couple of years ago and he KNEW he was sick. Big sick. That's something.

I've been following a 'pattern' debate recently about some way serious mathematicians that are finding messages in the bible with some really solid mathematics. Some of them are finding predictions, even predictions that came true. It's pretty amazing and it stretches the rules of statistics right to the breaking point but, man can it be compelling.

Except for one thing. They are using an English translation of the bible and ENGLISH DID NOT EXIST WHEN THAT BOOK WAS WRITTEN.

There is almost always a huge problem with a conspiracy theory that the believers haven't found or are willing to filter out in their mind.

I hope your Viski finishes well. It's a sad but inevitable conclusion. I always think my dogs finish well. Always. I'm guessing that's because I project my feelings onto them. I don't care. It's my mind and I'll do what I want.

There is only fact in that brain - his fact - with no consideration of alternatives.

There has to be some awareness in dogs in regard to social aspects like humans, as they do seem to pick up on "vibes" in people.

There is one interesting thing in the Bible in regards to this - with what I think is the only Aramaic (according to my dad) in the book. Under the "Why do you forsaken me" part is the "original" Aramaic. What is interesting is that in Aramaic, it can be translated as "why do you glorify me" - quite a difference in meaning between the two.

He is a good dog and deserves a fitting end. But since he can't go out in a Lamborghini fireball - it will be much quieter. He is actually my "step-dog" as he was five when my wife and I got together and my wife said, "he will take some time" - 20 minutes later, he was asleep in my lap snoring away, belly up. :)

That would make a difference, wouldn't it? AAaacckk.

I didn't say that dogs don't have feelings and awareness. Quite the opposite. I merely said that they don't have thoughts like you and I. Except maybe when there is a girl in heat. Then I'm guessing my thoughts are remarkably like Sam's.

I rest my case. He knew what was coming and knew he didn't have to make any dramatic changes in you...
