Blog #206: Cheers To The New Beginning

Happy Monday Hivers!

After years of being jobless, I've finally found a new job.

The pandemic realy hits us. Businesses went bankrupt; people lost their jobs; and eventually economy fell down. Other people debated whether this is man-made virus or not. Well, whatever it is I am one of those people who is greatly affected by this pandemic. I was not only losing the job that I had but I also lost the courage to cope up the stress brought by the pandemic.

Self-doubts had started to arise when tons of rejections were thrown at me. I spent many sleepless nights crying and figuring out what is wrong. When everything was dark, I started to ask God why did he let me experience this crisis.

My level of enthusiasm has slowly declined. Everything around me seems full of darkness. It's like all negative forces were injected in my whole system because I was already engulfed with negativities; the way I think and feel. Time has really tested me, I was shattered and broke. I'll tell you it was difficult. I was slowly eaten up with depression.

One night a tiny voice in my head awakened me from my deep sleep and shouted to never give up. That time I started to find the courage to rise again. I slowly picked up the pieces of me that once shattered. A wounded heart and the empty pocket are the weapons I used in this battle.

I am now finally found a job.

Tonight is my first night of my Training. Though I am excited but I felt anxious as well because I am new to this industry. My new job doesn't align to my experiences and degree. I know days ahead of me is quite challenging. But I do believe that challenges make us to become better version of ourselves. Adjustments to learn the new responsibilities; to get along with my new colleagues and bosses; to embrace the company's rules and regulations are the adjustments that most likely everyone is experiencing on their first month of their new job.

But I am confident that along the way I will be going to learn and master new skills; will be going to meet and become close to new good hearted people; and will be going to find and be guided by a supportive mentor.

As I turned the page of my book to its new chapter, my heart is now ready to welcome new challenges and new people in my life. I am now ready to face the new beginning.
