This week that just ended, I was free from my work, so I took the opportunity to watch a little more television, if you have a Netflix account you know that when you finish watching a movie or series they make recommendations of some other content, among those recommendations insistently appeared a series called Kingdom, being of Zombies or related to that topic, I thought about it but at the insistence and see that the plot also involved something else, I encouraged me and here I come to share my impressions after watching the two seasons so far there are of the series.
Esta semana que recién termina, estuve libre de mis labores, así que aproveche para ver un poco más de televisión, si tienes una cuenta Netflix sabes que cuando terminas de ver una película o serie hacen recomendaciones de algún otro contenido, entre esa recomendaciones insistentemente aparecía una serie de nombre Kingdom, al ser de Zombis o relativa a ese tema, lo pensé pero ente la insistencia y ver que además la trama implicaba algo mas, me anime y aquí vengo a compartir mis impresiones luego de ver las dos temporadas que hasta el momento hay de la serie.
This series is set in some historical moment of Korea, mixes some of its history we do not know how real, but it focuses on the intrigues and everything that both often comment in various films and books of the tricks that used to make some to seize the throne and there inserted zombies.
Now, this North Korean series, raises as a clan wants to seize the throne, the prime minister a powerful and fearsome man, to get his daughter to marry the King, his eldest son is the captain of all guard and with all the power he has acquired becomes a dangerous man.
Esta serie esta ambientada en algún momento histórico de Corea, mezcla algo de su historia no sabemos que tan real, pero se centra en las intrigas y todo lo que tanto suelen comentar en diversas películas y libros de las artimañas que solían realizar algunos para apoderarse del trono y allí insertan zombis.
Ahora bien, esta serie Norcoreana, plantea como un clan desea apoderarse del trono, el primer ministro un hombre poderoso y temible, a logrado que su hija contraiga matrimonio con el Rey, su hijo mayor es el capitán de toda guardia y con todo el poder que ha adquirido se convierte en un hombre peligroso.
In the same way, the young queen is on tape and for some reason does not allow the prince who until then was the only son of the King to see his father, so begins to unveil a mystery where we see that the King has been transformed into a zombie and the Queen's family keeps it a secret, hoping that this has a son and thus remove the way the young prince who died his father should immediately inherit the throne.
De la misma manera, la joven reina esta en cinta y por algún motivo no le permite al príncipe que hasta ese momento único hijo del Rey ver a su padre, así comienza develarse un misterio donde vemos que el Rey se ha transformado en un zombi y la familia de la Reina lo mantiene en secreto, con la esperanza de que esta tenga un hijo varón y de ese modo quitar del camino al joven príncipe quien al morir su padre debió heredar de inmediato el trono.
Opinion/Opinión
This series, in addition to showing all the intrigues that are being discovered since the ones I shared with you are just the tip of the Iceberg, the way we are presented with the zombie plague, here it is not the typical one, it is about the effect produced by a plant called the resurrection plant that grows in certain places and that after being consumed or used in various ways revives the dead, The second thing is that these zombies are only active during the night and when the day comes they flee like vampires to take refuge and go into a kind of hibernation, on the other hand they are afraid of water, plus they run frantically and very fast.
Something that has always caught my attention in terms of films and series that show us the behavior around these Asian kingdoms, is the way royalty was treated and the education that was given and the actor who plays the prince, giving life to what we can truly call a young man educated in every way, from academics to being a master with the use of the sword, besides showing to be a being sensitive to the needs of his people to notice how many of them lived in misery.
Esta serie, además de mostrar todas las intrigas que se van descubriendo ya que los que le compartí es solo la punta del Iceberg, la manera como nos plantean la plaga zombi, aquí no es la típica, se trata del efecto producido por una planta llamada la planta de la resurrección que crece en ciertos lugares y que tras ser consumida o utilizada de varias maneras revive a los muertos, transformándolos en zombis, lo segundo es que estos zombis solo están activos durante a noche y al llegar el día huyen cual vampiros a refugiarse y entran en una especie de hibernación, por otro lado le temen al agua, además de que corren frenéticamente y muy rápido.
Algo que siempre ha llamado mi atención en cuanto a las películas y series que nos plantean el comportamiento en torno a estos reinados asiáticos, es la manera como la realeza era tratada y la educación que se le daba y el actor que interpreta al príncipe, de vida a lo que de verdad podemos llamar un joven educado en todo sentido, desde lo académico hasta el ser un maestro con el uso de la espada, además de mostrar ser un ser sensible a las necesidades de su pueblo al notar como muchos de ellos vivían en la miseria.
Actuations/Actuaciones
The performances are great, featuring even a young man who was an elite soldier, a young woman who was a doctor, apprentice to an eminent physician who resurrected the King and the performance of the young Queen who really shows signs of being an evil woman in the extreme.
Ju Ji-hoon, plays the crown prince, Bae Doona, as the young doctor, Bae Doona, plays the Queen, Kim Sung-kyu, as the elite soldier, Ryu Seung-ryong plays the prime minister and father of the Queen, Kim Sang-ho, plays the prince's personal guard, among others.
Las actuaciones son geniales, contando hasta con un joven que era un soldado de elite, una joven que era médico, aprendiz de una medico eminente quien resucito al Rey y la actuación de la joven Reina quien de verdad da muestras de ser una mujer malvada en extremo.
Ju Ji-hoon, da vida al príncipe heredero, Bae Doona, como el joven médico, Bae Doona, interpreta a la Reina, Kim Sung-kyu, como el soldado de elite, Ryu Seung-ryong da vida el primer ministro y padre de la Reina, Kim Sang-ho, interpreta al guardia personal del príncipe, entre otros.
Costumes and scenery/Vestuario y escenografía
As for the costumes and scenery, they really were very careful and did not skimp to represent the costumes and places of the time, this moves us and allows us to imagine the historical moment they want to stage.
En cuanto al vestuario y escenografía realmente fueron muy cuidadosos y no escatimaron para representar la vestimenta y los lugares de le época, esto nos traslada y nos permite imaginar el momento histórico que desean escenificar.
Parallel Stories/Historias paralelas
Without knowing, before watching this series, I saw what we could call a parallel story called "Kingdom: Northern Ashin", where they tell another story related to the abuse of power by soldiers to annihilate a tribe and how a young girl to discover it, decides to take justice into their hands.
Sin conocer, antes de ver esta serie, vi lo que podríamos llamar una historia paralela que lleva por nombre “Kingdom: Ashin del norte”, donde narran otra historia relacionada con el abuso de poder por parte de soldados al aniquilar una tribu y de como una joven al descubrirlo, decide tomar a justicia en sus manos.

En resumen esta serie te mantendrá entretenido, ente todas las intrigas en torno al reino y las cosas un poco exageradas desde mi punto de vista de las que son capaces de hacer los muertos vivientes, pero es una opción para entretenerte si es lo que deseas, además de tener un final en la segunda temporada que te hace desear tener ya disponible la tercera temporada que con todos los retrasos que ha ocasionado la llegada del coronavirus en todos los planos, incluida la televisión y el cine, ha retrasado la producción de muchas películas y series, así me despido esperando se animen a ver esta serie, a dejarme un comentario, un gran abrazo para todos y hasta próxima publicación.

Está si que es una buena serie, yo también ví las dos temporadas que se estrenaron y el spin-off de Ashin el cual sirve como precuela a estas dos temporadas; originalmente la historia de Ashin debió ser contada en una miniserie, pero el Covid-19 hizo que se cortará en un film o episodio especial.
No tengo conocimiento de cuando será la tercera temporada, pero tengo muchas expectativas porque me gusta este género del terror y más las artes marciales así que es una doble ganancia ver esta serie.
Fíjate que yo vi primero ese episodio especial y como Nerflix a cada instante me recomendaba esta la vi y fue cuando comprendí que tenían relación, la verydad me ha gustado y espero puedan realizar una tercera temporada, gracias por pasar a comentar
