¡Hola amigos! Hoy les traigo la reseña del otro spin off de The Walking Dead que estaba mirando y termine hace poco. En esta ocasión centrado en un personaje tan emblemático como lo es Daryl Dixon.

Hello friends! Today I bring you the review of the other spin off of The Walking Dead that I was watching and finished recently. This time focused on such an emblematic character as Daryl Dixon.

Trama - Plot

Daryl continúa su aventura de descubrir mundo y en esta entrega se encuentra nada más ni nada menos que en Francia, pero él no sabe muy bien cómo llegó ahí y, lo más importante, no sabe cómo volver a Estados Unidos a reencontrarse con su gente. En su camino por descubrir una vía de escape que lo lleve hacia su destino se termina involucrando con una mujer que necesita ayuda para trasladar a un niño a otra ciudad de Francia pasando el epicentro del inicio del apocalipsis zombie. Así que ahora se ve en la disyuntiva de ayudar a estas personas alejándose cada vez más de su tierra natal.

Daryl continues his adventure of discovering the world and in this installment he finds himself in France, but he doesn't quite know how he got there and, more importantly, he doesn't know how to get back to the United States to meet his people. On his way to discover an escape route that will lead him to his destiny, he ends up getting involved with a woman who needs help to move a child to another city in France, passing the epicenter of the beginning of the zombie apocalypse. So now he is faced with the dilemma of helping these people by moving farther and farther away from his homeland.

El personaje de Daryl es uno de mis favoritos de la serie, uno aprende a tomarle cariño a este taciturno y serio individuo. Algo que destacó de él es que siempre fue fiel a sus convicciones y a él mismo, tuvo su etapa de evolución y crecimiento y creo que se merecía tener su papel protagónico, más allá de que si lo tuvo en la serie principal también.

Daryl's character is one of my favorites of the series, one learns to get fond of this taciturn and serious individual. Something that stood out about him is that he was always true to his convictions and to himself, he had his stage of evolution and growth and I think he deserved to have his leading role, beyond the fact that he had it in the main series as well.

Con respecto a la serie, debo decir que estoy sorprendida para bien. No sé qué esperaba, pero estuvo buena en mi opinión. Al principio me enganché con las primeras tomas y estaba muy intrigada por saber cómo había terminado en Francia, quiero decir, termino en otro continente. Luego, se me hizo extraño la trama religiosa con las monjas y el niño elegido, el mesías. Sentí que estaban divagando un poco, pero me seguía cautivando la historia por lo que continúe viéndola.

Regarding the series, I must say that I am surprised for the better. I don't know what I expected, but it was good in my opinion. At first I was hooked with the first shots and was very intrigued to know how it ended up in France, I mean, it ended up in another continent. Then I got weirded out by the religious plot with the nuns and the chosen child, the messiah. I felt like they were digressing a bit, but I was still captivated by the story so I continued to watch it.

Me gustó mucho ver el resumen de cómo fue el apocalipsis zombie en Francia en sus inicios. Me di cuenta que me llama mucho la atención ver toda esta construcción de cómo sucedieron los hechos en un principio. Aunque seguimos con la duda de qué rayos paso para que se diera todo esto de los muertos vivientes, pero creo que eso nunca lo vamos a saber.

I really enjoyed seeing the summary of what the zombie apocalypse in France was like in the beginning. I realized that I am very curious to see all this construction of how the events happened in the beginning. Although we are still wondering what the heck happened to make all this undead stuff happen, but I don't think we will ever know.

Me pareció una trama muy interesante, aunque los villanos siguen dejando mucho que desear. Lo que sí me gustó fueron estos nuevos zombies mutados, aunque tampoco se explica este hecho. Me hubiera gustado conocer más de los experimentos realizados en ellos por Genet, que les inyectaban, cómo los convertían en súper monstruos y cuál es el motivo de esto, ¿para qué quieres hacer más invencible a algo que podría matarte fácilmente? Nunca centrarse en buscar una cura jaja, todo es destrucción y muerte, pero debo admitir que si me aterraban un poco estos zombies mejorados.

I found the plot very interesting, although the villains still leave a lot to be desired. What I did like were these new mutated zombies, although this fact is not explained either. I would have liked to know more about the experiments done on them by Genet, what they injected them with, how they turned them into super monsters and what is the reason for this, why do you want to make something that could easily kill you more invincible? Never focus on finding a cure haha, it's all destruction and death, but I must admit that I was a bit terrified of these enhanced zombies.

Al final quedé en una disyuntiva porque me gustó la relación que formó Daryl con Isabelle y Laurent, pero también quiero que regrese a casa con los suyos y ver ese reencuentro entre hermanos con Rick. Y ese final con cierto personaje apareciendo para buscarlo, ah mis feelings.

In the end I was left in a dilemma because I liked the relationship Daryl formed with Isabelle and Laurent, but I also want him to go back home to his own and see that reunion between brothers with Rick. And that ending with a certain character showing up to find him, ah my feelings.

En definitiva, me pareció una muy buena primera temporada, tiene sus detalles y algunos sucesos sin sentido, pero fue un buen inicio. Quedé muy ansiosa por la próxima temporada, espero que sea mucho mejor que esta, sin dudas allí estaré para verla. Por lo pronto, voy a dejar de agobiarlos con The Walking Dead hasta nuevo aviso.

In short, I thought it was a very good first season, it has its details and some senseless events, but it was a good start. I was very anxious for the next season, I hope it will be much better than this one, I will definitely be there to see it. For now, I'm going to stop burdening you with The Walking Dead until further notice.
