Some films end up moving the hearts of the audience despite their typical directing method
.

George Clooney is no longer a sexy guy. However, most people are very satisfied that he has become a 'middle-aged actor'. Occasionally, the words acting group or individuality group are familiar to us. It feels like an ordinary 'someone' that you can easily meet somewhere in the corner of our neighborhood. At the moment when acting becomes real and movies become our daily life, we begin to naturally 'sympathize'. Indie Air is a work that satisfies 100% of that sympathy index.

In the Air, the opening and ending were particularly good. The words spoken by real ordinary people, not actors, did not feel like lines. It was their sincerity and their earnestness. There has never been a more devastating time in life than the moment you get fired from a job you've been working for for a long time. The feeling of being deprived of everything and of being denied one's existence and abilities by this society is definitely not very good. That is why Ryan, a 'dismissal expert', believes that a certain degree of dignity must reside in his work with sincerity. It is really not easy to convey the big change in life that will unfold in the future to a person who is not familiar with it. However, it is a necessary process and someone has to do it. So Ryan responds to the situation 'flexibly' at every moment. He does not offer any kind of consolation, nor does he mechanically read the provisions or regulations of the document. However, it reminds them of 'something' that the other person had forgotten while working for the company. Whether it's an individual's dream, family, or nonsensical and unnecessary goal, it brings out a medium through which you can live a 'new' life once again, bringing it out from the depths and making you feel it.

'Natalie', a newcomer, says that the head office bleeds heavily in the process of delivering layoffs, and wants to develop and introduce a mechanical system that lacks 'communication'. As Ryan, who knows how important communication and face-to-face are, he has no choice but to confront his juniors who lose the importance and dignity of this job. The contrast between the two is clearly evident in the scene. On the way to the plane, Natalie taps her laptop keyboard and devotes herself to developing a 'problem-free firing script', while Ryan quietly pulls out a notebook and draws. he already knows From the perspective of those who are being fired, the 'PACKET' that the informant gives, that is, the bundle of 'documents' that help start the splendid second half of life, does not catch the eye. The most important thing is mutual respect, sincere understanding and advice that should be carried out in the previous process.

Natalie is a stereotypical character. He owns a certain car at an appropriate age, builds a family with a spouse with good conditions, gets recognized at a job that requires his own culture and knowledge, and sometimes takes vacations and travels abroad in harmony. He is ordinary, but wants to belong to the majority of the social groups most people seek. Ryan is the exact opposite. He spends almost all the time of the year in 'IN THE AIR', but he only accepts it as fate and moves forward for his own special goal of 'achieving 10 million miles'. However, he too is, after all, a member of society and is not an isolated or slaughtered figure. After several encounters with a woman, 'Alex', whom he met spontaneously at a hotel bar, he feels her love and dreams of 'settling' with her, but soon meets her shocking reality.

In the end, Ryan and Natalie are characters at the opposite end of the pole, but at the same time they are very similar 'we'. Whether you are pursuing freedom and special goals, or pursuing settling and ordinary goals, moments of frustration and joy are bound to coexist, and life 'just' flows over them. Wouldn't it be possible to live a satisfactory life, whether positive or negative, if we calmly accept the uncertainty that cannot be predicted even one inch ahead and concentrate on the emotions and actions of the moment.

Ryan, who has finally accumulated 10 million miles, is handed an elite membership card with the captain's congratulations during the flight. When the captain asks where the house is, he ponders for a moment and replies, 'This is my house'. I thought this answer was the heart of the movie. In his wandering life, he dreamed of landing on the ground, that is, 'settlement', for a short time, but it failed. However, it returns to its original life and begins to take off again.

Rather than staying, he humbly accepted his fate and situation, and
saw the true meaning of LIFE's GO ON from his flying figure.
