Es una historia a mi parecer muy buena para pasar el rato en compañía de los amigos y disfrutar del cliché de los asesinos de los años 90. No profundizaré en detalles para no arruinarles la fiesta por sino la han visto, pero si mencionaré lo que más me gustó de manera de que tengan curiosidad por verla. Comencemos!

La historia es algo sencilla pero llena de buenos momentos, el drama se desarrolla alrededor de 4 chicas quienes una a una reciben misteriosas tarjetas de San Valentín con mensajes misteriosos, los mensajes vienen firmados por las iniciales J.M. Recibir una de estas tarjetas es un aviso de muerte, por lo que al principio todo pasa como muertes normales hasta obtener un patrón en cada una de ellas. Al inició de la película conocemos a las chicas en su adolescencia, y también conocemos a un chico, el cual es víctima de abusos y burlas escolares, y en la fiesta de la escuela, invita a cada una de las chicas recibiendo rechazos por todas ellas. Una de ellas lo rechaza educadamente mientras el resto lo desprecia, y una última chica que también era víctima de abusos aceptó bailar con él a escondidas, ambos son descubiertos y esto desata la burla de todos, ella para defenderse acusa al chico de haber abusado de ella, y al final es declarado mentalmente insano y detenido en un psiquiátrico.

Creo que lo mejor de la película está en la elección de los actores, cuenta con la presencia de Denise Richards en todo su prime, al igual que David Boreanaz quién tuvo su propia serie Spin-Off con Angel, de la franquicia de Buffy, creo que esto le dio un plus de personajes que estaban en la cima y que ejemplificaban muy bien el drama y la historia que se quería promocionar. A etsa película no le falta misterios, silencios muy sofocantes y pistas falsas que no conducen a ningún lado y donde tienes que volver a pensar muy bien los acontecimientos para tratar de adivinar quien es el asesino que se esconde bajo esa máscara macabra.

Esta película me dejo un extraño sabor a moraleja, y es que encierra un secreto relacionado a una gran injusticia y yo odio las injusticas, y creo que la historia muestra como un acto de egoísmo en contra de otra persona puede retornar en el tiempo con la fuerza del mal para tomar venganza. Así que no sentí pena por ningúna chica que falleció, aunque me hubiera gustado que otras personas también hubieran pagado sus crímenes, pero la película olvidó su importancia. Y como punto final para mi, es la revelación final y que me voló la cabeza cuando la vi por primera vez. Hay que estar atento a los detalles porque siempre son muy importantes en la trama.. Así que, para que pasen un buen día de San Valentine, nada como una historia de amor, sangre y terror, porque me gusta lo diferente.
