The series that I bring you in this opportunity, is one of those series that Netflix suggests you as a premiere that you can not miss, you arrive and say “well, they are few chapters”, you start watching it, you do not know if you will like it and in the end you finish... WOW! I really had to watch it.
In Spanish it is called “engaños” and before imagining that it is the typical script where the wife is cheated by her husband with her best friend, well, you are too wrong, but without falling into SPAM stay reading to offer you some analysis that I could do to this British series released at the beginning of the year:

Hola mis queridos amigos, espero que todo marche muy bien y podamos disfrutar de todas las opciones que nos traen a la maravillosa comunidad. La serie que les traigo en esta oportunidad, es una de esas series que te sugiere Netflix como un estreno que no te puedes perder, llegas y dices "bueno, son pocos capítulos", la comienzas a ver, no sabes si te va a gustar y al final terminas... ¡WAO! De verdad tenía que verla. En español se llama "engaños" (en español) y antes de imaginarnos que es el típico guión donde la mujer es engañada por su marido con la mejor amiga, pues demasiado equivocados estan, pero sin caer en SPAM quedate leyendo para ofrecerte algunos análisis que pude hacerle a dicha serie britanica estrenada a principio de años: Engaños (2024)
British series are some of the ones I like to watch on the screen on a weekend; they are entertaining, to the point, an unexpected ending and all this has this series that captivates and has a lot to tell you.
Among the positive points of the series, so that you decide to watch it, stand out:
- The mettle of our protagonist Maya (Michelle Keegan). In all the episodes she did not conform to what she was told; they wanted to make her look crazy, take away her child, destabilize her mentally, silence her by means of money and power and no, they could not. The character gave her strength in defending her daughter and the truth is, it seemed to me a story that could happen to anyone when the husband's family is economically powerful.
- This is the second point I like. Once again, it is not fiction because that is how it works where many people for power and economic enrichment are capable of doing many negative things without caring who it affects. There is also evidence of covering up things between family members for fear of “what will they say” and I found this crucial to understand the acting of everything else (no, I'm not going to tell you what happens with Joe😊's brother you must watch it).
- Speaking of family, it's always thought that “mothers are right” and that's not the case. Mothers are wrong by lying, covering up, covering up their children's actions “all in the name of love”. Judith, who is Joe's mother, Maya's mother-in-law, does everything wrong; excused by her money and power she acts under manipulation, threat and superior economic status to Maya to defend her children, treat Maya as inferior and even try to take her daughter away from her in order to continue the family legacy. All very wrong in the way a mother can deform a child if she doesn't create consequences for her.
- Sami (Adeel Akhtar) also has an important role and if I have to recommend watching it is for the plot that has between the psychic, the physical and the emotional that entertains us from the beginning to the end of the 8 chapters. It is the typical cop with problems, but who manages to get out of it and in what a way, run to see it!😊.
- The last reason why I must recommend this series, is because of the medicinal responsibility and the call of attention that should be made on this subject. In my country, a very particular situation is happening: it turns out that from a government policy, very low cost medicines are being imported so that they can be purchased by the vast majority who do not have money to invest in health, but these compounds, laboratories, importers and distribution do not have all the standards that can help us to improve health.
There are no correct figures about this but I can attest that my mother has used these products and they have had no effect, even causing allergies because they do not work for her. I also know of people that these medications have not worked for them and have presented health problems. Finally, the same doctors who treat my mother, when they prescribe her a medicine, recommend that they be from a national laboratory.
This last part is very important because the case begins to uncover Maya behind the great pharmaceutical emporium headed by Judith and shows the great damage that is done to our health without knowing it. Very good approach this point and care to be able to comment.
Las series británicas son algunas de las que me gustan ver en la pantalla un fin de semana; son entretenidas, van al grano, un final inesperado y todo esto lo tiene esta serie que cautiva y tiene mucho para comentarle. Entre los puntos positivos de la serie, para que ustedes decidan verla, destacan:
- El temple de nuestra protagonista Maya (Michelle Keegan). En todos los episodios no se conformó con lo que le decían; quisieron hacerla quedar por loca, quitarle a su niña, inestabilizarla mentalmente, callarla por medio del dinero y el poder y no, no pudieron. El personaje le imprimió fuerza en la defensa de su hija y la verdad, me pareció una historia que le podía pasar a cualquiera cuando la familia del esposo es poderosa económicamente.
- Este es el segundo punto que me gusta. Una vez más, no es ficción porque así funciona donde mucha gente por el poder y enriquecimiento económico es capaz de hacer muchas cosas negativas sin importar a quién afecta. También se evidencia el encubrir cosas entre los miembros de las familias por el miedo "al qué dirán" y esto me pareció crucial para entender la actuación de todo lo demás (no, no les voy a decir que pasa con el hermano de Joe😊 deben verla).
- Hablando de la familia, siempre se piensa que "las madres tienen la razón" y así no es. Las madres se equivocan mintiendo, encubriendo, tapando las actuaciones de los hijos "todo en nombre del amor". Judith, que es la madre de Joe, suegra de Maya, hace todo mal; excusada en su dinero y poder actua bajo la manipulación, amenaza y condición económica superior a Maya para defender a sus hijos, tratar a Maya de inferior e incluso intentar quitarle a su hija para poder seguir el legado de la familia. Todo muy mal en la forma como una madre puede deformar a un hijo si no le crea consecuencias.
- Sami (Adeel Akhtar) también tiene un papel importante y si tengo que recomendarle verla es por la trama que tiene entre lo psiquico, lo fisico y lo emocional que nos entretiene desde el inicio hasta el final de los 8 capítulos. Es el típico policía con problemas, pero que logra salir airoso y de qué manera, ¡Corran a verlo!😊.
- La última razón por la cual debo recomendar esta serie, es por la responsabilidad medicinal y el llamado de atención que se debe hacer en este tema. En mi país, esta ocurriendo una situación muy particular: resulta que desde una política del gobierno se estan importando medicamentos de muy bajo costo para que pueda ser comprado por la gran mayoría que no cuenta con dinero para invertir en salud, pero estos compuestos, laboratorios, importadores y distribución no cuentan con todos los estandares que puedan ayudarnos a mejorar en salud. No existen cifras correctas sobre esto pero puedo dar fe que mi madre ha usado estos productos y no le han hecho efecto, causando incluso alergia porque no le sirven. También conozco de personas que estos medicamentos no les ha funcionado y han presentado problemas de salud. Por último, los mismos médicos que atienden a mi madre, cuando le recetan una medicina le recomiendan que sean de laboratorio nacional. Esta última parte es muy importante porque el caso que comienza a descubrir Maya detrás del gran emporio farmaceútico que encabeza Judith y que muestra el gran daño que se hace en nuestra salud sin saberlo. Muy buen planteamiento este punto y de cuidado para poder comentar.
The series did not receive very good reviews and I think it was because at some point it got boring with the dialogue, very fanciful at times and the bloodshed at the end seemed unnecessary.
And this is a very personal opinion that they should not damage the series or movies in this way. Why? it was all right to investigate the past, discover the frauds, defend the family, show that Maya was a good mother, The deception of all the aspects lived by her husband and family, what need was there for the fantasy? I think none.
But as final words, I can tell you that it is a very good series, in a long weekend you can enjoy it and it does not disappoint.
La serie no recibió muy buena crítica y pienso que fue porque en algún momento se puso aburrida con el diálogo, muy fantasiosa en algunos momentos y el derramamiento de sangre al final me pareció innecesario. Y esto es una opinión muy personal de que no deben dañar las series o películas de esta forma ¿Por qué? iba todo bien en indagar el pasado, descubrir los fraudes, defender a la familia, demostrar que Maya era una buena madre, El engaño de todos los aspectos vividos por su esposo y familia ¿Qué necesidad había de lo fantasioso? pienso que ninguna. Pero como palabras finales, les puedo decir que es una serie muy buena, en un fin de semana largo se puede disfrutar y no defrauda.
Suena como una serie que va más allá de lo superficial y toca temas muy relevantes.. Aunque mencionas que la serie tuvo algunas debilidades, me gusta que al final la recomiendes. A veces, incluso con sus fallos, una serie puede ofrecer momentos valiosos 👋

Bueno justo termine de verla hace poco, así que pude entender un poco de todo lo que mencionas aquí, si es una serie que tiene sus momentos, no es la mejor, pero es aceptable, entretiene y te hace pensar en algunas cosas x ejemplo lo de la farmacéutica, en fin yo también la recomiendo porque es corta y tiene su final., saludos.😁

La vi hace unos meses y hasta la reseñé, no es que no me haya gustado pero si tiene sus debilidades y eran muchas cosas a la vez. Pero me entretuve.
