I am a big fan of Transformers since I was a kid.
There's nothing like a "big red truck turning into a sentient robot leading other robots in a battle against evil robots" to make you shout COOL!
So I just watched the latest live action movie and it was... Alright..
It could have been so much better though.
They've been dancing around on confirming if the franchise is undergoing a refresh. They told it was a prequel to the first live action film. Sheesh.
I feel like it should have just been better off being officially mentioned as a reboot.
The inconsistencies just kept piling up into a jumbled mess.
In the old Transformers animated film, there was this big looming threat that Autobots and Decepticons alike had to face. How big? Planet sized big.
Unicron was a wandering planet-eating-planet floating across the universe searching for worlds to devour. MAN! He was really cool!
It should have been exciting to see him in the live action films. Especially if we get to see him transform into one epic giant bot. But ugh.. Oh well.
So I made this short animation playing with the inconsistency of how Unicron was presented. Remember in the Transformers The last knight, Unicron was said to be emerging from the Earth? Horns protruding in the deserts and other parts of the world?
It's Unihorn!
And now in the latest film, Rise of the beasts, he's suddenly outside somewhere in the galaxy lightyears away from Earth. Oh U.. Unicron!

Was really pleased how those exhaust effects turned out in timing with Unicron's remixed epic intro music.
"The Earth-pire strikes back!!!" Will Smith slapper style!
My two favorite Primes, flabbergasted with Unicron's situation.
Here's hoping that future installments of the franchise will have a much better story. Please let me know what you think in the comments below. Especially if you're a Transformers fan like me! Geeks unite!!!
