Sin lugar a dudas The Eminence in the Shadow es de las 2 series a la que más le tenía ganas, lo anterior no se debe a su historia o personajes debido a que ambos apartados son bastante malos con pocas o ninguna bondad que los haga destacar de alguna forma; el primero tiene algo de mérito debido a que se burla directamente de los estereotipos del género Isekai, esto no es un mérito propiamente dicho pero resulta gracioso de ver puesto que la propia animación no se toma en serio a sí misma, por otro lado, los personajes no son interesantes ni profundos de ninguna forma, en el mejor de los casos resultan divertidos por la forma tonta en la que son construidos, si bien hay algunos personajes que tienen cierto enfoque, participación y un trasfondo algo interesante nunca se explota de ninguna forma debido a que no se toma en serio a sí misma y eso es un acierto, fuera de ello no hay mucho para destacar.

Vamos al otro apartado importante, los enfrentamientos, desde el comienzo se deja claro que estos no gozan de estrategias ni nada que se le asemeje, estos se nutren única y exclusivamente de tener poderes muy locos a cada momento, además, pese a que se sepa que el protagonista ganara todos sus combates porque es estúpidamente fuerte sigue siendo muy entretenido por lo atractivos que resultan los mismos, así como la cantidad de peleas interesantes que hay en todo momento.

Eminence in the Shadow desde su primera temporada se evidenció que era una animación que se centraría únicamente en burlarse en los pilares de su género, tener combates alucinantes cargados de dinamismo y detalles, así como una animación muy agradable visualmente con colores vibrantes y elementos vistosos. Es por todo lo anterior que mantiene su calificación anterior de 3.5 estrellas, sin lugar a dudas es algo recomendable si solo quieren ver combates interesantes acompañados de una historia sosa y divertida a partes iguales.

Dejamos los hechizos de lado y nos ponemos el traje de héroes porque estamos por adentrarnos en el mundo de Invincible, la primera temporada fue un excelente abre bocas para todo el mundo que tiene esta serie, a lo largo de la segunda temporada se van explorando los diversos elementos que se dejaron en el aire: Se explora un poco el pasado de Omni-man, dimensiones alternas, nuevos enemigos, entre otras cosas, todo lo anterior enriquece de forma maravillosa a la historia y tiene un peso considerable tanto en los personajes como en la narrativa.

Si hay algo que desde luego podría ser mejor es la animación, la serie hace chistes sobre esto pero de todas formas resulta en algo difícil de obviar en los momentos de acción, la misma tiene escases de detalles y de fluidez en más de una ocasión, tomando en cuenta las posibilidades de la casa creadora esto es bastante injustificable. A lo largo de esta temporada se visitan otros mundos y demás, si bien esto resulta atractivo no se profundiza en ello demasiado, por lo que la construcción de mundo no se siente como el apartado más explotado aún teniendo dicha posibilidad. Lo que acabo de mencionar son los apartados “malos” de esta temporada, como habrán notado, no existe nada demasiado exagerado que repercuta de forma significativamente en la narrativa o en sus personajes.

Although mostly many secondary characters had their time to shine there are also several that despite having time on the screen are still unknown; On the other hand, the fact that the series of the idea that some of the main characters died and then retracting is quite disappointing, in addition, it takes seriousness to deaths as such.
Hablando de narrativa, he de admitir que esta resulta muy atrapante debido a que no solo se enfoca al protagonista sino que se le da foco a distintos personajes que en un primer momento no parecen interesante, además, gracias a ese trasfondo se les da una caracterización que los hacen sentir más relevantes. Un elemento que llama mucho la atención es con respecto a la responsabilidad y el sentimiento de culpa, siendo ambos elementos piezas fundamentales dentro de esta temporada debido a que le dan un enfoque más humano al protagonista, a su vez, sus relaciones interpersonales le dan ese aire de querer equilibrar su vida con sus obligaciones, este aire muy al estilo Spiderman encaja muy bien con el enfoque de la serie. Si bien en su mayoría muchos personajes secundarios tuvieron su momento de brillar también hay varios que pese a tener tiempo en pantalla siguen siendo unos desconocidos; por otro lado, el hecho de que la serie de la idea de que algunos de los personajes principales murieron para después retractarse es bastante decepcionante, además, le quita seriedad a las muertes como tal.

Invincible tiene una segunda temporada que está bastante bien en líneas generales, adicional a lo antes mencionado está el hecho de que su villano es bastante meh, no es el mejor de todos pero por lo menos genera momentos interesantes, fuera de ello es factible decir que esta temporada no está mal. Es por todo lo anterior que mantiene sus 4 estrellas, si bien tiene varios errores notables son muchos más sus aciertos, sobre todo, el hecho de ahondar en el sentir de sus personajes y sus problemas les da una capa de tridimensionalidad que no hay que menospreciar de ninguna forma.
