En mi extensiva búsqueda por tener algo que ver para pasar el tiempo me tope en Netflix con una película que llamo mi atención, luego de verla tenía la necesidad de poder hacer un review porque hay muchas cosas que se pueden acotar sobre esta película.
In my extensive search for something to watch to pass the time I stumbled on Netflix with a movie that caught my attention, after watching it I had the need to review it because there are many things that can be said about this movie.
Les estoy hablando de Juego Limpio una película con una duración de una hora y cuarenta minutos aproximadamente. Está película se estrenó en octubre del presente año Dirigida por Chloe Domont y producida por T-street Priduction.
I'm talking about Fair Game, a movie with a duration of approximately one hour and forty minutes. This movie was released in october this year. It is directed by Chloe Domont and produced by T-street Priduction.
La película cuenta la doble vida de Emely, interpretada por Phoebe Dynebor y Luke, interpretado por Alden Ehrenreich, quienes dentro del trabajo son simplemente compañeros de trabajo, pero fuera de el, son novios, amigos, y confidentes y tienes una relación bastante ardiente y jocosa.
The film tells the double life story of Emely, played by Phoebe Dynebor and Luke, played by Alden Ehrenreich, who inside the workplace are simply co-workers, but outside of it, they are boyfriends, friends, and confidants and have a pretty hot and jocular relationship.
Toda esta pantalla que ponen en el trabajo es porque la empresa tiene normas dónde sus empleados no pueden tener ningún vínculo o relación amorosa y por ello se limitan a ocultar su relación de sus jefes y demás compañeros, incluso ocultar su compromiso, ambos son economistas y su vida transcurre en invertir y hacer ganar a la empresa.
All this screen that they put at work is because the company has rules where their employees can not have any link or love relationship and therefore they just hide their relationship from their bosses and other colleagues, even hide their commitment, both are economists and their life is spent on investing and making the company win.
Todo esto cambia cuando queda una vacante en la empresa, Emely escucha que su novio Luke es quien recibirá el ascenso, sin embargo ella es llamada por su jefe a las dos de la mañana y es a ella a quien le proponen este ascenso, abatida Emely llega pues tiene ilusión por su nuevo puesto pero siente dolor por su novio ya que ambos creían que el trabajo sería para él. Luke toma la decisión muy deportivamente o así lo aparenta y está situación empeiza a deteriorar poco a poco su relación.
All this changes when there is a vacancy in the company, Emely hears that her boyfriend Luke is the one who will receive the promotion, however she is called by her boss at two in the morning and she is the one who is proposed this promotion, Emely arrives dejected because she is excited about her new position but feels pain for her boyfriend because they both believed that the job would be for him. Luke takes the decision very sportingly or so it seems and this situation begins to deteriorate little by little their relationship.
Ahora bien les compartiré mi opinión y el mensaje de trasfondo que tiene está película. En un ambiente laboral netamente patriarcal el ascenso de Emely causa malestar no solo en Luke subo también en sus compañeros. Emely hasta llega a sentirse mal por recibir ese ascenso pues aunque sabe que se lo merece hubiese preferido que fuera Luke quien lo obtuviera.
Now I will share with you my opinion and the underlying message of this film. In a clearly patriarchal work environment, Emely's promotion causes discomfort not only in Luke but also in her colleagues. Emely even feels bad for receiving that promotion because even though she knows she deserves it, she would have preferred Luke to get it.
Por su parte Luke de ser un hombre cariñoso y amoroso se transforma en un hombre celoso, egoísta y envidioso porque en el fondo cree que su novia o se acostó con el jefe o le robó su puesto, en ningún momento por su mente pasa que Emely es tan buena analista como el y también merece el puesto.
For his part Luke from being a caring and loving man transforms into a jealous, selfish and envious man because deep down he believes that his girlfriend either slept with the boss or stole his job, at no time does it cross his mind that Emely is as good an analyst as he is and also deserves the job.
Es un poco de este ego machista dónde la mujer puede estar bien pero nunca ser superior a ningún hombre y es una de las características principales de esta película. Emely aunque no lo sabe está en boca de varios de sus compañeros quienes en su machismo extremo no ven que ella sea buena sino que obtuvo el ascenso por ser mujer y darle un "espacio" en l empresa o porque simplemente se acostó con el jefe.
It is a bit of this macho ego where the woman can be good but never be superior to any man and it is one of the main characteristics of this film. Emely, although she does not know it, is in the mouth of several of her colleagues who in their extreme machismo do not see that she is good but that she got the promotion because she is a woman and gave her a "space" in the company or because she simply slept with the boss.
Estás acusaciones no escapan de la realidad pues muchas mujeres vivimos esto a diario dónde nuestro intelecto nunca es reconocido. Aparte de la conducta de Luke vemos que también es inseguro pues tiene a Emely como un trofeo y como no obtuvo el ascenso le oculta a su familia que están comprometidos.
These accusations do not escape reality as many women live this every day where our intellect is never recognized. Aside from Luke's behavior we see that he is also insecure because he has Emely as a trophy and because he did not get the promotion he hides from his family that they are engaged.
Otra cosa que podemos apreciar es la familia de Emely, por lo que entiendo viene de un entorno difícil y ha logrado superarse, sin embargo su familia es abusiva porque aún cuando ella les pide respeto y secreto ante su compromiso es lo menos que su mamá hace, y prefiere contarle a todo el mundo sobre el compromiso de su hija.
Another thing we can appreciate is Emely's family, from what I understand she comes from a difficult environment and has managed to overcome, however her family is abusive because even when she asks them for respect and secrecy before her engagement is the least her mom does, and prefers to tell everyone about her daughter's engagement.
Para terminar el punto más importante en esta película es la relación que mantienen los protagonistas, a medida que trasciende vemos que es una relación tóxica y posesiva, Luke hace muchos malos comentarios de su novia sin medida delante de amigos y familia y aún así Emely sigue con el, pero ella también se convierte bajo la desesperación en victimaria agrediendo físicamente a Luke, aún así ambos " tratan" de olvidar eso y seguir pero ya es casi imposible.
To finish the most important point in this film is the relationship between the protagonists, as it transcends we see that it is a toxic and possessive relationship, Luke makes many bad comments about his girlfriend without measure in front of friends and family and yet Emely is still with him, but she also becomes under desperation victimizer physically assaulting Luke, yet both "try" to forget that and continue but it is almost impossible.
Lo que deja como mensaje que ese no es el tipo de amor que nadie debe recibir, desde el primer momento de Luke sentir celos de sus novia era una alerta para alejarse pues en vez de sentirse orgulloso sentía miedo y celos de ella y todo eso desencadenó cosas irremediables que acabaron con el amor de esta pareja.
Which leaves as a message that this is not the kind of love that no one should receive, from the first moment Luke felt jealous of his girlfriend was an alert to move away because instead of feeling proud he felt fear and jealousy of her and all that triggered irreparable things that ended the love of this couple.
Juego limpio no es una película compleja, te ayuda a pasar el rato, y aunque es un poco monótona toca temas muy importantes dentro de nuestra sociedad. Un thriller que nos relata la fragilidad masculina, y todo lo que una mujer soporta por poder ser vista en el ámbito laboral. Espero puedas verla y comentar que te pareció. Nos leemos en la próxima.
Fair Game is not a complex film, it helps you pass the time, and although it is a bit monotonous, it touches on very important issues in our society. No sabía de la existencia de esta película, se ve que toca temas interesantes y actuales sobre las posiciones de una mujer dentro de una empresa y los celos que puedan surgir cuando se ve que uno tiene más reconocimiento que el otro.
Así es, pero más que una película feminista nos habla de precisamente esa fragilidad masculina la cual se siente amenaza cuando una mujer logra más que un hombre. Tratando de desprestigiarla y dónde la mujer siempre tiene que trabajar más para hacerse notar.. además habla de temas del abuso de las relaciones y esos thiller romántico que no pasa desapercibido... Espero que la puedas ver y la disfrutes .
