The Details

Each week, our Moderators will monitor the posts within the Movies and TV Shows Community and handpick the ones that are believed to stand out under numerous factors: post quality, length, and subject.

There are no entry requirements, and this is not a contest, but simply a roundup intended to provide additional exposure to all of you for your efforts. Just have fun posting in the Movies & TV Shows Community and five or more posts will be chosen frequently.

Raya and the last dragon (Review)

Other things that I liked about this animated film is that love and passion for doing things right and until it does not conclude some of the objectives that this heroine has, it does not move forward and that shows the security and confidence to do things, and perhaps many of us like to do things that way. In addition, a film where a lot of battles are appreciated, managing to give a touch more action to it, since without them it would not be the same, however, they do it in such a detailed way and only certain parts are appreciated, something that surprised me and I did not expect it. However, it is here where the animation is present and thus recreate that part where she comes out victorious, just like that dragon comes out.

The Little Mermaid (disney movie review)

My favorite character is undoubtedly Sebastian, who by the way was the most criticized since his species supposedly cannot survive the depths since they are more terrestrial. However, people forget that this is science and fiction, and a magical addition talking about mermaids and King Triton. I might come to think that if the king had the power to make his daughter have legs again, also so that his crab butler could be in the depths of the ocean with him.

REVIEW: Gambito de Dama

There is no doubt that Anya Taylor-Joy (Beth Harmon), played a good role, personifying this young enthusiast, for this game, a simple girl, without class, without grace, but who was not going to let herself be trampled by anyone, guided by the words that her mother once told her, I think that's where her attitude came from, to want to do things her own way, without being intimidated or mistreated by anyone.

Akelarre: Review without spoilers

Medieval times is a part of history that fascinates me to the point of reading a lot about it and what I liked most about this movie is the fidelity to quite a few things from those times. For example, the unwashed hair and the hairy legs. They didn't want to sell us the perfectly waxed or perfectly clean woman, but rather they stuck to the way things were since, in the middle ages, hygiene was something that was scarce or practically nonexistent.

Far Far Away: a film to empower and rise like a phoenix

It's a romantic comedy, but this one does have some funny moments. I usually don't like romantic comedies too much, but this one I didn't see it that way, as it somehow showed a lot of what's going on today. This film is very natural, things happen that can happen to anyone and I think that adds a lot to the moment of generating a commitment from the viewer.

Palm Springs (2020) review: What a day.

Without feeling rushed, Palm Springs is a nimble film, making good use of time and managing to provide us with a satisfying conclusion to an ironically monotonous conflict, nothing particularly unique about it in terms of direction or photography, but to be honest it doesn't need it.

The Super Mario Bros. Movie was so good that it made me want to play my Nintendo Switch again

I should have known that this new Mario Bros. movie was going to be amazing, but I kind of slept on it. I finally got a chance to watch it last night and I really must say that it is outstanding. This movie is not only a great nostalgic callback to one of the most beloved Nintendo characters ever, but it's also just a really hilarious film.

It really is a refreshing film, when we see the landscapes of Vietnam for a few moments we can feel that we are there seeing all these wonders, Amanda who was a little tense due to the breakup with her ex, begins to let go and learn more about Vietnam.

Cheat (game show) on Netflix: A fresh take on a quiz show format

It's a fun show for a couple of reasons in my mind and one of them is that the questions are intentionally quite easy compared to other shows and there is a good chance that you, the watcher, are going to know quite a few of the answers yourselves and might be quite amused that the people on the show do NOT know the answers. I think that the contestants are likely selected because they aren't every smart rather than the other way around.

MOVIE REVIEW: “The Little Mermaid” (2023)

Not even at its strongest point (which are the songs), this version manages to satisfy the public (at least not the most demanding public). The classics fulfill their role (even if with less intensity), but the songs that are unpublished, do not bring the expected impact to try to add more value to the movie. At this specific point, a lack of inspiration from the almost always competent Lin-Manuel Miranda, who this time failed to deliver music as good as the ones he usually does. Even so, the construction and orchestration of the songs are (in general) very beautiful, and help to create a lighter, more lively and also more fun atmosphere for the movie in its general context.

Ambulance - ¿ Lo que importa es el dinero?

I really like the role played by Danny, he has a personality of an unbeatable man, obsessed with his appearance and high end cars, Danny who followed the example of his father, who was one of the most wanted men, recognized bank robber, Danny wanted to follow his example being successful, well, all the fortune he managed was due to this trade but this time he aimed for a bigger job but wanted to involve his adoptive brother Will, this for his great skills.

Humor, Superación y Deporte en una sola película / Humor, self-improvement and sports in one film

The story of the movie is one of self-improvement, since as I mentioned both Jeremy and Kamal have great talent, but for different reasons they did not succeed. The message of the movie will show us that there is more than one way to succeed, if we stay focused.
