RE: Issues I had with Succession, Season 4. Spoilers!

that's a nice way of putting it. I haven't had to go through that so you have a much better perspective about it than I do. I read that Brian Cox was a bit insulted that his character was offed in such a way but I suppose they did need something kind of shocking to shake things up in the last season.

I too loved the entire series but I am just one of those guys that finds fault in basically anything. My favorite series of all time Breaking Bad, I even found fault with some of that as well. They were small things, but I felt like there were a couple of "filler" episodes in the latter seasons because they had to have a certain amount of episodes to fulfill their presumed contract with AMC.

Who was your favorite character in Succession if you were to have to choose only one?

Sort:

Oof, that's almost impossible. I'd like to say Roman as he has the most hilarious lines. I mean, they all have massive parent issues but his perverted sex thing is both hilarious and tragically sad. The tenderness he has for his siblings when he's trying to be ruthless like his father was just sublime. I watched it twice - the first time I thought he was a flake but the second time I realized he actually was good at business too. Both him and Kendall are fantastic actors. Sarah Snook kinda irks me a bit. I'm not sure why.

Tom and Greg were also genius. Ah don't make me choose. Even the secondary characters were well written.

Logan did have to die. It wasn't so much about him but the impact of him on everyone around him. We never got a pic from him, only through what others say about him. I mean the guy was 80, so it was gonna happen.

I guess I overlook flaws in favour of the grander vision. Should see my physicist husband pick the science apart in the sci Fi shows I like haha! But he loved Succession.

Who was your favorite character?

I mean in some ways you could argue the three siblings WERE the one character. Without this relationship, you wouldn't have a show.

Very good point and I agree. They all seem to balance one another out in some sort of way. If I had to choose a favorite it would be Roman because he just seems to never take anything seriously externally, but to a certain degree it is all a game to him and he hides his insecurities from others by using humor until he breaks down and no longer can do so.

The episode where he accidentally sends a dick pic to Logan was fantastic.
