Vadhandhi - Fables of Velonie [Thriller Web Series]

A compelling murder mystery that will keep you hooked to all 8 episode for this Tamil Webseries. Shots at the picturesheque location of Kanyakumari it has many twist and turns that make thr plot super exciting to watch. I am not an OTT web serie obsessed person and rhis is was no where in myblist to watch. But after watching the series, I must confess it to be a brilliant directorial piece and recommend everyone to watch this once.

The plot of the storyline is the murder of a beautiful teenage girl named velonie and and the case investigation by inspector vivek. Vadhandi means rumors, the series is all about Velonie and what might have prompted her gruesome killing. The story does start off with a bunch of people saying things about the girl murder. I must give due credit to the creator of the series and all their team. They have treated the audience with respect, and made a slowburn series that allows the investigation to breathe, and doesn’t cramp it all up too fast to soon.

The one thing which made me to watch is its title and would say that it is so accurate to the story line. And the director made an extremely good plotting of the characters and the story that how the actual news or information gets rumored up with so many make-ups. And in realty this is what happening in our society, where no one knows the complete story but just for the namesake discussion due to their inside triggering excitement or entertainment, resulting in ruining others life, can say.

Also the picturesheque Kanyakumari natural location and colourful places makes you to visit that place once or never. The story is all about the girl Velonie and how she died. Being beautiful girl, there were lot of rumors about her and everyone start expecting from her. But what unfolded at the end is compleyelly unimaginable.

Even though it is about Velonie, she never tells us anything directly in the entire series. This is what keep the audience more interested to watch. Whatever things shared about velonie is either from friends, telling us about the kind of friend she was. Then her mother telling us about the kind of daughter she was and their relation. Then there was a writer too, one of the guests in the mansion run by her mother. There is fiance, a lover, and a few forbidden romantic liaisons somewhere else.

Joining the dots and bits and pieces, finally the inspector able to solved the case. And it took 8 episodes to make audience aware about the while plot. Each episodes is more than 40 Min and none of them will make you rusty. Good IMDB rating and also liked by 95% Google users.

A gripping thriller is what needed to make a perfect weekend. And I ended up watching and unfolding the murder mystery. Do watch it for the story, for the acting, for the location and for some grueling mystery.
