And after a long time, back in the game baby!

I lost the habit of posting since I've been focusing on other aspects of my life, and what better way than coming back talking about one of the best series I've seen in a long time? This will probably be a somewhat short post as I don't want to tell you too much about the series and end up doing spoilers.

Stranger Things is a series that takes place in a town called Hawkins, Indiana. Here we meet a group of children who will end up discovering the deepest secrets that are carried out by government organizations in the city and also in the whole country.

Throughout the series we are introduced to different terrors that will be punishing in very disturbing ways to the protagonists. Monsters that open portals, that control and destroy people's minds, telekinetic powers, this series has a little bit of everything.

The plot at the beginning revolves around good people versus bad people, but as the series progresses we realize that the enemies are not really humans, but monsters that come from a totally different world called "Upside Down".

What I loved most about this series is the atmosphere and the combination of suspense/fantasy it has. From the first season, no episode is boring and you will always wonder why things happen, questioning every decision the main characters make and how they will react to the different dangers that will be plaguing them as they go on their adventure.

Well, I lie to you, actually the most incredible aspect of this series is the era in which it is set. This series has a very 80-90's theme and that means that the soundtrack is on another level. While in specific scenes there are more modern things, more than 80% of the series makes use of musical resources from this era and, as a fan of classic rock, this made me fall in love with the series even more.

I hadn't heard Ted Nugent before, but a scene of one of the best characters in the series in my opinion (Billy) made me fall in love with it. There is also another Ted song called Stranglehold, which is just as amazing as this one, if you are a guitar fan these songs are definitely made for you.

Back to Stranger Things

This series is made for all audiences. At the beginning I thought it was made for children and that's why I didn't give it a chance, but I was absolutely wrong and now it is easily one of my favorite series. Not only this, apparently for the critics it is also one of the best series created so far.

There was only one boring episode in season 2 and this made me rate it a 9.5 on Moviebase, but except for that one episode where we are only introduced to a time of Eleven's rebelliousness, this series is THE BEST.

Y después de mucho tiempo, de vuelta al juego baby!

Perdí la costumbre de publicar ya que me he enfocado en otros aspectos de mi vida, y qué mejor manera que volver hablando de una de las mejores series que he visto en mucho tiempo? Probablemente este sea un post algo corto ya que no quiero contarles mucho respecto a la serie y terminar haciendo spoilers.

Stranger Things es una serie que se lleva a cabo en un pueblo llamado Hawkins, en Indiana. Aquí conocemos a un grupo de niños que terminarán descubriendo los secretos más profundos que se llevan a cabo por las organizaciones gubernamentales de la ciudad y también del país entero.

A lo largo de la serie nos presentan distintos terrores que estarán castigando de formas muy perturbadoras a los protagonistas. Monstruos que abren portales, que controlan y destruyen las mentes de las personas, poderes telekinéticos, esta serie tiene de todo un poco.

La trama al principio gira en torno a personas buenas contra personas malas, pero mientras más avanza la serie nos damos cuenta de que los enemigos en realidad no son los humanos, sino monstruos que provienen de un mundo totalmente diferente llamado "Upside Down".

Lo que más me encantó de esta serie es la atmósfera y la combinación entre suspenso/fantasía que tiene. Desde la primera temporada, ningún capítulo es aburrido y siempre te preguntarás el por qué de las cosas, cuestionándote cada decisión que toman los protagonistas y el cómo reaccionarán ante los distintos peligros que los estarán azotando mientras avanzan en su aventura.

Bueno, les miento, en realidad el aspecto más increíble de esta serie es la época en la que está ubicada. Esta serie tiene una temática muy 80-90 y eso significa que el soundtrack que tiene está a otro nivel. Mientras que en escenas en específico hay cosas más modernas, más del 80% de la serie hace uso de recursos musicales de esta época y, como fan del rock clásico, esto hizo que me enamorara aún más de la serie.

No había escuchado a Ted Nugent antes, pero una escena de uno de los mejores personajes de la serie en mi opinión (Billy) hizo que me enamorara de ella. También hay otra canción de Ted llamada Stranglehold, que es igual de increíble que esta, si eres un fan de la guitarra definitivamente estas canciones están hechas para ti.

Esta serie está hecha para todo público. Al comienzo creí que estaba hecha para niños y por esto no le había dado la oportunidad, pero estuve rotundamente equivocado y ahora fácilmente es una de mis series favoritas. No solamente esto, aparentemente para la crítica también es una de las mejores series creadas hasta ahora.

Solo hubo un capítulo aburrido en la temporada 2 y esto me hizo calificarla con un 9,5 en Moviebase, pero exceptuando ese capítulo donde solo nos presentan una época de rebeldía de Once, esta serie es LA MEJOR.
