It's strange how Steam isn't perfect, but every single competitor barely addresses any of the pain points Steam users have with it. Provide better service, and people will gradually switch to your platform!!

GOG carved a name for themselves in the PC community for offering something that Steam doesn't. ItchIo offers larger selection in the indie side than Steam, and closer relationship with the developers on there. These two competitors are doing well!

Epic could've gotten more market share by offering better store experience. Amazon's gaming is a joke, so much that I, like most people, didn't even know they had a gaming store!
