I think it is... Anything you get money for goes back to someone needing something, even if you're multiple steps down the needs chain.
I guess the exception people who receive money from institutions without work for a reason or another.

"Can" pay or "wants" to pay. I try to explain to my young daughter that there is no point in making bracelets to sell if no one wants to buy them. I haven't been successful, but I have a bracelet collection!
