A year ago, I made one of the most significant decisions of my life: I walked away from my corporate job at the peak of my career. Yes, it felt crazy then—and it still does at times—but it was necessary for my well-being. Many of us struggle with the elusive concept of work-life balance, and its difficulty haunted me for years. I pursued it vigorously, believing I could juggle an impressive career and an idyllic family life. However, the more I climbed the corporate ladder, the more I realized that true balance was impossible.
