The Farewell to Middle-earth
Ultimately, when the One Ring was destroyed, the apprehensions that Galadriel harbored came to fruition. The power of Nenya, along with the other two Elven Rings, began to diminish, signaling the end of an era for the elves in Middle-earth. They faced a bittersweet departure to the Undying Lands, a transition steeped in both loss and acceptance.
Galadriel’s long-standing love for Middle-earth, rooted deeply in her experiences and memories, rendered her initial refusal to return to Valinor. However, after enduring the temptation posed by Frodo and triumphing with grace, she recognized that it was time to move on. Thus, she faced the reality that her legacy in Middle-earth would shift, but the grace and wisdom she embodied would always remain.
