Hearn seems perplexed by De La Hoya's antics, noting that the former boxer is driven more by emotion than clear-headed business decisions. The animosity between the two appears to stem from Hearn's signing of Canelo Alvarez, a fighter who was once closely associated with De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions.
"Canelo took him to call and he come to join me, and like for years he's just, you know, I have this ability to make people's blood pressure rise beyond all kinds of levels, and that's the thing with Oscar," Hearn explains.
