Part 6/12:
The global energy constraint—massive power demands for AI data centers—poses a significant bottleneck. Estimates project a need for 100 gigawatts of AI infrastructure power over the next four years, roughly powering entire cities. Yet, current power grids are strained, and building new power plants, especially nuclear, takes years or even decades.
Companies that control electricity generators and power infrastructure will have enormous leverage, able to demand stakes or fees from AI and chip companies eager for power. This shift positions energy and resource suppliers as gatekeepers of AI growth, akin to the financial elite controlling currency and wealth.
