Part 2/10:
Recently, there's been an eye-opening discovery. In multiple major U.S. markets, a new Tesla Model 3 can cost less than a new Prius once all factors—like tax credits, incentives, fuel, and maintenance—are considered. For example, initial estimates suggested a Model 3 starting at over $40,000, but after federal and state incentives, the out-the-door price can plummet to as low as approximately $24,400 in some regions like California and New Jersey. When these rebates are combined with local incentives, the effective price can drop dramatically, bringing the vehicle into a “$25,000” range, and in some cases, even lower.
