Voucher tokens are worth holding in splinterlands

There are multiple tokens in the splinterlands ecosystem that includes SPS, DEC, Voucher, and SPT tokens. All the tokens have different use cases in the game and out of all SPS is highly valuable but undervalued in the market and I believe it is because people have got a bigger chunk of tokens as part of the Airdrop. Similarly, they have also earned a good amount of voucher tokens. Apart from this DEC is still in the game however it is not part of the reward pool anymore but we cannot ignore the existence and the use case for this token in the game. Now we are left with just one token which is called SPT and this token has no use case in the game however we can just earn this token through content creation and I hope that team pays some attention to this. Although this token can be used to buy NFT on splintertalk I believe not many people are doing this so its value is pretty low.

Voucher

This token was introduced when they launched Chaos Legion packs and at that time this token was raised to its all-time high price value which was more than 22 hive at that time. the major utility of this token is that we get some discount on the assets during the promotional events but I believe this is not enough and there should be some more use cases. Every license holder can earn the token every day and even this is distributed as part of the staking reward for SPS holding. We are getting the token for free as part of the reward but it does not mean that token is not valuable because the team has already mentioned that the voucher will be used in all future promotional events. Just imagine if there is a fantastic event going on that requires a bigger number of voucher tokens which can bring better discounts. It can be even better if we hold a good number of tokens at that time so that we can easily go for the discount and grab the deal at a better price.

Price

The price has been reduced by 50% in the last month and probably it is because of the promotional event which was launched last month for the Zyriel card. this card was not a big success. this was issued with a total supply of 15,000 cards but still approximately 5k cards got sold. The voucher was allowed to use to avail of the 50% discount but even after the discount price for the card was on the higher side.

Talking about the price for voucher tokens I believe it is very low at the moment and we can see a downtrend in the market. I am not going to sell my token at this price. I usually sell off my voucher tokens and buy SPS because ultimately I'm focused on growing my SPS holding but at this price, I would never prefer to convert for SPS. I expect that once we see Another promotional event in the game then it will boost the price for vouchers until then we need to wait however in the long term it can be even better to accumulate and hold.

My Holding

As I mentioned that I convert my vouchers into SPS from time to time when I see that price is better in the market but at this price range I don't think it is a good idea for the conversion. I earn vouchers through different ways including the license and spears holding primarily and this is helping me earn a good number of tokens daily. I know that this is like a bonus reward but I do not consider it that way because with vouchers I have been able to accumulate a good number of sps and I hope that the price will improve later and that will be the time when I will convert it again for sps.

Strategy

Whatever tokens I'm holding in my account are not earning anything because I have not joined any diesel pool. Investing in the pool can be a good idea to generate some returns on the holding but I don't feel comfortable with that so I keep all my tokens in my account rather than putting them in the pool. I see a lot of players doing the same and I know that it is a good option but it's just that I do not want to do these rather I prefer to keep my assets in the game account. Whatever I earn with my SPS holding in the game account is good for me and I do not want to be so much greedy on that. although I'm not sure what is the earning potential as of now for the sps pool in the pools even if it is higher then also I am not going to do that. Whatever vouchers I earn every day are in my account and I will continue to accumulate because at this price I do not feel like doing the conversion for sps. I use different assets in the game to convert against sps so that my holding grows over the period but before the sps stake change happens I should be able to have a decent holding of sps token.

The team has already announced that they are going to plan the promotion in such a way that every quarter they will be launching promo cards and I believe holding more vouchers will give us more discounts that can go up to 50%. This is not bad I believe and this is the reason why I think holding the voucher tokens is worth and this is not the time to sell out and book profit in my opinion.
