It's Saturday again ! The weather is sunny and almost warm, so this will be a quick update so I've got time to try and balance the motorcycle carburettors 😁

Here's my table of progress for the week;
How Did The Week Go ?
In terms of activity, I was mostly just trogging along in the same old way. I'm still managing to post every day, so with any luck I'll manage to get a Hivebuzz Monthly Author badge for March.
My HP earnings are still nowhere near the target, but average weekly earnings are pretty consistent. I have to face the fact that for now (and the foreseeable future) I don't have the time or headspace to double my posting rate !
All the other metrics are thoroughly on target, however. I'll still be about 120 years old when I switch from Dolphin to Orca unless I win the lottery....
One nice thing happened, which is that I tipped over the 70.00 reputation score, finally ! Yes I appreciate it's a meaningless number really and just an ego thing, but it still feels nice to finally get to that point 😀
A Little Test
Over the last few weeks, I've created a few more posts based on writing prompts, particularly in the Freewriters and Scholar & Scribe communities.
So I thought I'd do a little experiment, which I extended to a whole selection of posts across a number of Hive communities. What I was looking for was prompts that generated a high volume of response posts. Then I cut & pasted the text into AI checkers, using a couple of different ones each time. There was no particular consistency to which checkers I used - it was whatever Brave Search threw out at the time that I didn't have to pay for.
The results were fascinating; about a third of the posts came back with a high probability of being AI generated. But it was notable they were mostly posts from people I'd not heard of before and often with mid-range reputation scores (the kind of 49-59 range).
What was reassuring is that of the people I actively follow, although I only checked those whose posts came up with the prompted ones (I didn't creep around actively checking all the people I follow, that would be weird....) not a single one came back as AI-written, every single entry there was 100% human-made.
So my conclusion is that while Hive does have a percentage of accounts that are just AI-farming, the majority of active users are real people. Hello, fellow humans ! 😁
So that was my week..... now to get lined up for HPUD in a couple of days time !
If you're not familiar with SaturdaySavers, it's a fabulous initiative run by @shanibeer writing as @sally-saver on the @eddie-earner account, where we all support each other in getting to our savings goals.
If you are one of my friends reading this (or just someone who tripped over one of my posts), I really recommend this as a great community that's well worth joining.
I'm normally very disorganised about saving, and the support of the wonderful people in #SaturdaySavers has been invaluable in keeping me focused. I can honestly say that without it, my HP would probably be half what it is now.
So join ! You don't have to wait until the start of the year. The best time to start saving is ten years ago. The second best time is right now !
Congratulations man, I actually made a thread celebrating getting to 60 rep mark. I think it's worth more than just ego. Rep shows how much work you've done on the chain so congrats man
