I remember a user who barely uses Threads say he purchased premium without being bullied into it... That's not true... #freecompliments

Sort:

Well no one forces people to be on threads :)

That argument is moot, because the user who said that suggested another platform did bully them, but YOU don't HAVE TO use any platform.... #freecompliments

100% agree with that. We cant please everyone and we dont aim to do that :)

We want strong users and a strong community

If you’re not convicted, the door is wide open to leave

Lol, you love to say that and it just might bite you. See, everyone knows they can leave at anytime, we don't need your passive aggressive nothings

it’s passive aggressive to invite people to leave if they don’t like it here?

That’s crazy

It's not an invitation and you know it. Anyway, you were replying to my comment that literally said the same thing you did, so it was you just being butt burt

"So, only speak your mind if you agree", is this your perspective? It certainly seems so, if you'd rather people leave than speak their minds...

Nope

But I can tell when someone has made up their mind and isn’t worth the energy to try and convince

The best product will always win in the end

Capitalism is a beautiful thing and only one platform in this ecosystem is actually generating revenue while simultaneously innovating

Others are just copying our continued success

I wish them the best but they will only succeed if they start thinking for themselves and developing new things

I welcome them to continue their copy pasta but I do think it’s an existential threat and if they continue, they won’t be around for the long term

Only two things matter: build cool things and sell them to users.

Without building their own stuff, they'd better out-sell you.

Doubt they will.

1000%

You can’t outcompete good innovation

You also can’t outcompete a real connection with your audience

People keep asking the wrong questions (Am I worried about competition, etc.)

They miss the most important points like what you’ve described above

I do agree that you do offer a better product, but maybe after adding so much to Premium, opening a few BASIC features up for freemium wouldn't hurt, correct? #freecompliments

But then again, what happens when they start competing rather than copying? I guess it depends on how many personal bridges you burn. Judging by who I'm seeing use Snaps that have never tried your product, the burnt remains are piling up

They never will because they don’t know how

lol
