Oh, I see. So you would just use Namecheap as the domain registrar. That should work to use your $10 credit. The process looks easy at https://www.namecheap.com/domains/transfer/

Usually, these transfers are very quick. Depending on how quickly hostinger supplies the authorisation code. Most hosts have a fast automated system. But personally, I have never transferred away from hostinger. Though they have been very responsive for other things that I've used them for.

Do you think namecheap will provide a free ssl certificate? the reason why i stopped using it before is because i paid a $10 domain and didn't know that it has no free ssl certificate.

my plan is to use namecheap for now just to spend the balance then transfer again soon if it will expires overtime.

As far as I know, namecheap charge extra for SSL. But you should ask their customer service if they have a free option. Personally, I push all my traffic through Cloudflare, wherever it's hosted. Because that gives me faster response times, free SSL, protection from bot attacks, and other useful services - all in their free plan.

I've done that for many years - even before they introduced their cheap domain registration. I know this sounds like a sales push. But I have no connection to Cloudflare other than being a very satisfied customer.

I understand. I have now transferred my domain from Hostinger to Namecheap. The main purpose is to save some bucks since I already have $10 on my namecheap account that I cannot withdraw.

I tried checking cloudfare and from what I understand, I still need to transfer some DNS servers which I cannot manage to fully understand. I will take note of using Cloudflare if this first plan is not a success.

For now, I have to wait for the transfer to be processed.
