Leofinance Discord has been hacked

Hello everyone, I'm not very active on discord but I always come around to read information and stay in the background. It has come to my notice that something fishy is going on in the Leofinance discord group and I highly advise you avoid clicking any link until it is resolved.

My suspicion is that @khaleelkazi and the other Leofinance community managers have either been shut out of the account or are currently not aware of it. In any case, this is a dangerous situation and one that could have ramifications on the progress that Leo community has made over the years.

For loyal community members like me, this will just be a bump in the road but I completely understand how potential and newer investors could be spooked by this.

A situation like this will almost certainly damage the integrity of the platform. I hope this is sorted out soon.

What happened?

Well, for one, the hacker used @anomadsoul's discord account to post an airdrop that I suspect will be fraudulent. I strongly advice against interacting with the link until we're 100% certain that things have been sorted out.

When I entered the discord channel, I noticed that something was off and I proceeded to post a simple warning to anyone in the general chat but I was kicked out of the discord. Again, this is yet another red flag to note because the Leofinance discord is an easygoing group that allows everyone their opinions.

The scammer that has hacked this page is intent on bringing disrepute to the Leofinance community and also kick out anyone that tries to warn the public. So, I will sadly not be able to warn others of potential danger and I'm pretty certain that my warning post would have also been deleted.

I have to say, this is a very bad look and situation for the Leofinance project. Unsuspecting members of the community that interact passively might see the posts from the hacked accounts and think they're real.

It is important to state that only the discord group has been compromised and as such, this has no effect on your Blockchain activities. So, in essence, any Leofinance related asset you hold on Hive and beyond will not be affected by this.

In fact, what I discern so far is that only the discord and @anomadsoul's account on discord has been compromised. It is safe to assume that we can contact him on Hive and he will put out a public notice about the unfortunate situation.
