If history is anything to go by, we should be expecting a blood bath in the crypto market in the coming months. I'm not too bothered by the thought of that because I'll be building up a war kitty on the side to attack when the time is right.
I've held a few hundred HBD for a while now and I intend to get more. I'm trying to grow my hive account from within, even though I have some concerns.
My sentimentality has been my undoing in my crypto journey. I tend to invest with my heart more than I use my head.
I have chosen to interact with crypto within the hive network, rather than on exchanges. I have never trusted exchanges, so it makes sense that I'll not want to keep assets there.
The issue is that while I don't trust exchanges and minimize my interactions with them, they're a necessary evil and may come in handy in my attempt to improve my standing on Hive.
So, I currently hold a small stack of HBD that I can't help but be worried about. I worry because historically, hive's movement tends to influence the peg of HBD.
My plan is to wait until the bear market hits one more time and then attack. I'm more interested in just getting a big chunk of hive than the dollar value of it.
I'll be sending my lunch and beer money to hive in the coming weeks. Just slowly piling it up towards my inevitable purchase and then a flippity flip at a much later date.
Ok, not sure where did you get your sentiment on the upcoming bear months, while the sentiment is in totaly diferent direction. And I'm saying this trying to help you out as a long term hiver.
Also if you dont like your historical performance, you should by all means learn and adapt.
One advice I can give you is just focus on BTC, DCA every month and wait 5 years.
Happy new year and wish you the best in your jurney!
Right now, it's all bullish but historically, we usually see a downturn in the market when the euphoria of a BTC ATH settles. I've never been able to maintain a DCA strategy outside of Hive network. It's been my undoing
I’ve started trading between hive and hbd on the internal market using the recent volatility.
It’s been great. Buy orders at 0.35, 0.325 and 0.3 hbd per hive. Then sale orders at 0.4, 0.45, 0.5 etc.
I’ve made several 10-15% trades, without having to go to an external exchange.
And because of the hbd stabilizer, there’s good trading volume. Also you’ll find that HBD keeps its peg much better on the internal exchange than on some low volume centralized exchange.
